I am so tired of people complaining about states not mattering! I do understand that everyone likes to vote but lets gets real people this is NOT the General Election, This is a primary and rarely do all 50 states vote in a primary. And if you want to play it like a General Election then we must not count the delgates or Popular vote from Puerto Rico because they are not allowed to vote in the General Election!

People are always complaining about the voters in MI & FL being disenfranchised well what about the voters that sat home and didn't vote because they were told teh election didn't count. If you look at the number of people that turned out to vote it is considerably less (percentage) then all the other states. Anyway you look at it someone will not be treated fairly.

I feel for Clinton but the truth is there is no way for her to win unless she does it dirty! It is time for us all to come together and backup our nominee sen. Obama! Unless you don't want to win come Nov.

Off the subject, but I'm curious. We've heard over and over how Obama outspent Hillary 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, even 5:1 but I'm beginning to believe the Clinton's accounting follows the same, mysterious math as they're popular vote calculation, etc.

Consider this, according to CNN's report on fundraising and spending:

Clinton raised $195 million, spent $163 million, and has $32 million on hand.

Obama raised $240 million, spent $189 million, and has $51 million on hand.

So, just dividing Obama's spend of $189 million by Clinton's $163 million yields 1.2:1. I guess the real question is, then, how well did she spend it?

Certainly in the media market, she may have been outspent, but that's only because the Clinton's have "HIS" and "HERS" jets to criss-cross the country. This was a topic of conversation earlier on when her well first started drying up after big parties and extravagent luncheons for her staff, but it seems her problem of being outspent in the media could have been avoided with a little better planning.

I suppose it really does not matter what Oregon and the remaining states have to say about the primaries - let's all just go with the tide and proclaim a nominee and shove Hilary out.

Shouldn't the nominee come from voices of ALL states? I don't blame Florida and Michigan for moving up their primaries - the later you get into it, the useless and voiceless the state becomes. Or at least that's the message being sent by Obama supporters. Is it your money she's spending? Is it your time she's using?

If Obama can't take this situation, can he actually take a real, honest to goodness pressure a President face? How would he decide on a deadlock issue? He can't run away from them, he actually has to voice out and be brave enough to take a stand.

Oh, one more thing... I seem to remember this foolish guy a while ago that ran for president that was hugely popular among the MTV crowd, and did very well among blacks. Went on MTV, Arsenio Hall, etc. Was loved by the youth. Almost like a rock star. Maybe someone can refresh my memory who had stats like these on voting day:

Let's get real. Hillary's "white-american, blue collar, working class males" who are considered the swing voters will swing away from Hillary to McCain in the General Election. While they are voting for Hillary now (they prefer a white woman to a black man) they will choose the white man over the white woman in the general election. This effect will be multiplied as they are they are the same voters most likely to fall prey to the "fear" tactics that Hillary used against Barack. McCain will successfully use those same tactics against Hillary in the general election. On the other hand, the black vote, the young vote and the college educated vote (as well as those non-college educated voters, male and female alike, of varying ethnic background and income, who are intelligent/perceptive enough to see through Rovian tactics)are the solid democratic voters. They will not be swayed by McCain's use of Rovian tactics any more than they are swayed by Hillary's. It is these voters the party cannot afford to alienate. If they lose these voters, and a good number of the blue collar white male vote turns to McCain (AND IT WILL), John McCain will win the election hands down. The DNC and the uncommitted super delegates better wake up and put an end to the havoc Hillary continues to wreak on the democratic party. (And I used to feel the election should play out, it is a shame that Hillary's deplorable tactics have changed my mind, as I do feel it unfair to those who have not yet voted to have the supers decide for them now. But to let it continue will be worse for us all in the end.)

I am neither black nor of college age. I am a 56 year old professional white female who is in full support of Barrack Obama. Hillary has proven to be very divisive, dihonest and splitting the Democratic Party. I am going to be voting FOR Barrack for the presidency, rather than the lesser of two evils. If HRC happens to swiftboat Obama, I will still endorse him even if he doesn't win the nomination. No one will (including Hillary) not take this away from me. Initially, I would have supported HRC until I witnessed her stooping to the lowest of levels in politics and the trust is now gone. If by remote chance Barrack doesn't get the nomination, I will not vote for McCain and I will not vote for Hillary. It is time for change. And, Patty, you are very, very wrong when you keep stating that Barrack is attracting blacks and college students. It's very disheartening to listen to your racial innuendos at this critical time for our country. Get a brain and stop polarizing. This is one of the main reasons why so many people are moving away from Hillary. She is proving herself to be no better than Bush.

And to think, HRC started the Dem. campaign with the lead. As some of the more qualified (Edwards, Byden, Hucinich) candidates were peeled away, it became appearent that the "dark side" was pulling some political muscle to eleminate some good people. Nobody counted on B.O. enlisting new resources to gather a new following. The Clintons never saw it coming. What we learn from this is, never take the will of the people for granted.

The thing is the African American community actually have an African American candidate this time around. It's OK to admit it. I myself am a minority - an Asian. I can understand the enthusiasm of supporting someone your own race to the highest office in the land. It's not like it happens every 4 years that there is a nominee of the same color as you. We're not white people where this thing is a normal occurance.

I think it is hypocrical not to admit that.

It is actually brave to be objective about another candidate and consider them favorably if they are running against someone you would consider your own people, your own color and race. That's just a human thing. The sooner we admit that, the better it would be.

About gender, I have to say it matters too. I admire Hilary for her strength as a woman. You don't see a whole lot of them in her position. And how she dealt with her personal issues. That takes guts and courage.
Women are suppose to be the weaker gender, admit it or not, that is always at the back of our heads. For someone to achieve as much as she did and proven that to be not necessarily the case, that demands respect.
The first woman to run for the Presidency - and came really close to getting it at that is just an icing in her cake.

Appreciate them both for who they are and the history they made - still making.

I would say enough throwing mud from both sides. This occurance doesn't happen every day. Like her or not, you have to be proud that she's an American just like you. Appreciate that you have two terrific individuals to choose from - and don't be afraid to admit the presence of the elephant in the room - Obama is black and black people are voting for him, Hilary is a woman and most women voted for her.

We get either one, it's a win win situation.
