When are they gonna get it? It's not the party "brand," it's the party ideology! I'd welcome (though I'm not entirely convinced I'd ultimately vote for) a GOP candidacy by Chuck Hagel or (former Republican) Lincoln Chafee. But I have no interest in Republicans who act like Harry Truman, as Bush and McCain do, or like God-endowed governmental liberals, the way Mike Huckabee does. All the GOP candidates this time 'round fell into one, or both, of those camps, and the American people, particularly Republicans, are sick of it! If Republicanism were the same as it was in Teddy Roosevelt's day, I'd be a proud Republican. As it is, I'm simply a lukewarm Democrat.

I'm glad the GOP can actually see themselves for what they are! The last eight years has been a dismal failure that has brought this country to the brink of ruin. The economy is much worse than we are being told. According to the federal reserve websites their non-borrowed deposits were 27 billion in December 2007, in April they are minus 50 billion. Thats 50 billion in the hole. Looking backj at their records that go back to 1959 this has NEVER happened before, they have never been in negative territory.

To the Independent who was frustrated with the Dem Congress:

Please do not blame the Democratic Congress for not getting our troops out of Iraq in the past two years. Let's not forget they asked "Warmonger" Bush to change his plan by reducing troop levels.

What was "Warmonger" Bush's response except to come up with his "surge" plan which was nothing but abusing our troops for republican political cover for this election cycle. This whole surge was meant to quiet down Iraq as a political problem after they lost the 2004 elections badly. Al Maliki was doing his flunkie part by not allowing reporters to report on suicide bomb attacks in Iraq, thus taking the politically damaging pictures off the air.

Don't blame the Dems for not having a veto/fillibuster proof majority to really make change happen in Iraq. Please have faith that with Barack Obama as president with a large Democratic majority in both houses of Congress we will support our troops by getting them out of harm's way.

Why do the "Warmongers" Bush/McCain and republicans hate our soldiers so much? Only they would abuse our soldiers with so many multiple combat tours. Only the Democrats truly support our soliders and their families and we will get them out of harm's way and finish off Osama bin Laden once and for all, something the warmongers didn't want to do.
