Best I can guess, it's not to drill for oil, not to mine and manage the clean coal resources in the US, not to be build nuclear plants, not to drill in Anwar. The Democrats and the Tree Huggers (same thing, really) have successfully blocked any and every means to new energy sources for this country for the last generation. This is a good move on her part for all Democrats. I would hope that she continues these kinds of attacks on Bush, McCain, and Republicans rather than on her fellow Democrat Obama.

I know that she wants to be the Democratic Party's nominee, but frankly the numbers and political realities aren't in her favor. Rather than fragmenting the Party's base by continuing to lambaste Obama while the Republican attack machine is gearing up to focus on Obama, which may drive many of her supporters to vote for McCain so she can pursue a 2012 bid, she should be attacking Republicans alongside Obama so that our country doesn't have to endure another four years of backwards policies and four more years of our soldiers dying in Iraq. $2.36 average for gas when the Democrats took majority and promised to lower prices 1 year and 4 months ago.
$3.67 average today.

My guess is that neither Democrats or Republicans care what the prices are. This is a free country and Hillary could use her Senator status and talk to the Saudis herself if she thought it would make a difference.

In the 70's there were a lot of small businesses developing alternative energy sources such as wind and solar powered generators and autos that ran on alternative sources of energy. But the patents were bought up to put a stop to it and Reagan was elected which put an end to solar powered anything including a tax incentive for solar panels. A new industry was totally flagged off by the Repugnanticans. So it was not the Democrats. I was there I saw it happen. The Repugnants were responsible for turning this country away from an effective grass movement powered by progressive economic goals into tax breaks for big corporations. My program, Community Services and Public Affairs was discontinued, and the solar company I was working for had to close. We will never get back what we lost due to Reaganomics.

The difference between Obama in the white house vs Clinton is this: Hillary is more Republican than some Republicans. In fact didnt she used to be one? And who wants their grandchildren to witness a Bill Clinton loose in the White House with nothing to do for 8 years? I mean he denigrated family values and vows of marriage and I am no prude believe me. But if you take the vows of marriage then stick with it or get out.
I dont think we would have to put up with the immorality the Clintons layed at our table to swallow in having The Obamas in the white house. I think it is a difference in moral character and real commitment we see evidenced in a personal and professional level from both the Obamas.
