Bush was was simply pandering the Jewish votes for McCain at the Knesset. The Jewish parliament implies that no one should talk with ennemies. That's why Israel has not made any progress for the last 3 decades in solving differences with others. They should follow the example of one of their illustrous prime minister, the late Golda Meir who talked with Israel's ennemy (Egypt) 3 decades ago to struck out a lasting peace accord between the two countries.

Moreover, in her memoir "my life", where you can find example of a true leadership, she described the risk she took in a top secret mission, disguising as an arab man going into the night to meet with ennemies to talk about solving the differences.

That's a true desire to solve serious problems. Bush attitude is just an obnoxious, condescending limited view of how to solve problems with the rest of the world.

I used to like McCain but since he started his White House campaig he reveals that he should not be there particularly at that age. Just ask your grandparents how tired they feel at that age. The presidency is job of 14 hours a day, six days a week.

First of all McCain has changed his positions like a windsock on pretty much everything. He has a real credibility problem. I trust him about as much as I do bush & company.

Now as to Hamas, I heard on MSNBC yesterday, three analysts say that Israel and the U.S. use back channels to talk with Hamas. So, talks are going on, we just don't get to hear about it through our MSM here in the U.S. since bush has been in office. If you want to know what's going on I would suggest all of you going to www.thenation.com they have a couple of very good articles that would help anyone interested in the ME.

With regard to Iran and Ahmadenijad, he is only a figure head. Iran's president doesn't have any real power. If there are going to be any talks going on its with the clerics of Iran, they hold the power.
I also heard recently that there were thousands of weapons that had been found in Iraq and according to this administration, these weapons were supposedly from Iran, but after our own government inspected the weapons, they said NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE WEAPONS HAD COME FROM IRAN. Does that mean that it isn't happening? No. But if they are accusing another country of something they should be able to prove it with hard facts. It comes back to credibility and trustworthiness. Bush, his administration, McCain, Leiberman and others are all wanting to find any excuse to go after Iran and in my opinion, they are trying to build another house of cards like they did with Iraq.

I'll take Obama's foreign policy plan of diplomatic talks, over McWar's shoot first, ask questions later policy any day. Haven't we had enough of that for the last 8 years already?? Its time to turn the page of conventional thinking on foreign policy and how we deal with other nations.
