This clarifies exactly why Hillary is not suited to the presidency. One doesn't "find their voice" in the middle of a campaign -- it's something you develop over years of study and thought and action, not in reaction to polls.

My number one criticism of her has always been that she's artificial and a creation of spin doctors and political calculation. This latest reinvention is proof positive that she lacks authenticity.

It's not about finding her voice, she simply made too many errors in her campaign. The nomination was hers to lose. Well, she lost it - mostly due to a horribly mismanaged campaign. Think about all the advantages she had at the onset:

1) The best brand name in politics in decades.
2) The automatic backing of most of the voters.
3) A sizable number of super delegates already on board.
4) Best fund-raising resources available.
5) The sympathy of women all over the country.
6) Support from most of the black community.

And yet, with all that advantage, she blew it. You hear a lot of her supporters now whining about 'sexism', but if that were true then she never would have been ahead in the first place. The truth is, she was a bad leader. She chose her staff based on cronyism rather than qualification, underestimated her opponents, and took everything for granted. It was only because when everything started to fall apart that she felt the need to keep changing her personality in a desperate attempt to put herself back on course. And with awful managerial skills like that, I'd hate to see how she would run the country.

As the first viable woman candidate, I am so disappointed in her. She embarrasses me as a woman and a Democrat. I didn't vote for her in the primary reasoning that Obama needed to know he had support here as she was expected to win the primary. I expected her to win the nomination and would have voted for her in the GE. However, when her claws started coming out in NH, I felt she was not who or what she claimed to be and thereafter became a Obama supported with passion.

Please Hillary go away and take your blind to a fault supporters with you. You now are only damaging the party and Obama. There is no such thing as a dream ticket it would be a nightmare.

Notably, she found her voice by shoving a lot of us "traditional" and loyal Dems aside (trying to marginalize us) in an effort to woo Reagan Dems by running to the right, by pandering, by saying (which I don't buy for a minute) that she's one of them, and by (quite frankly) appealing to some voters reticence about voting for a black guy who they think is Muslim (perhaps racist but clearly low information voters).

Now before any of you lamblast me, I'm not saying that every Clinton supporter is like that, but can anyone say she isn't ENTIRELY trying to get the votes of that population and that that's really where she found "her voice" as alluded to in this article.

In the beginning, I was predisposed to vote for Hillary. I defended her against her critics. Then came a debate where she AND Barack did not do well, and I started to support John Edwards. I admired how Edwards drove the issues in the campaign. But, then Edwards did not seem to grow beyond his anti-poverty platform. Barack continued to be unimpressive in debates When I saw him in casual settings, however, something began to nag at my brain. I realized Obama was a very bright man and I started to make allowances for his debate weaknesses. Hillary, on the other hand, sank in my estimation the more I saw her. I had hoped I would see a superior woman, a queenly person emerge, instead I saw a woman who would eat her young. She struck me as an abused child and wife who grew up to be abusive herself. She is also utterly conventional, NOT the innovator I think we need now. Obama is flexible, resourceful, and sharp. So, now, its Barack, for ME.

I don't understand. WHAT is different about Hillary now than what we saw before? She's the same shrill voiced self centered woman she was in the beginning. Did she stop telling lies? They kept saying that last night on MSNBC - that Mark Penn didn't want to "humanize" her as a candidate. Does anyone else find that a bit strange? I just don't understand why the msm thinks she is such a good candidate. If anything, from my perspective as a liberal democrat, she's more annoying and ruthless than ever, and has not one trait I find appealing, not one. She's shown some women feel it's their right to be in the WH first, that it's all about her. Not sure why the Obama supporters continue to hate on Hillary. Are they too stupid to realize that she got over 49% of the vote over Obama and that he can’t win without the 15 million plus votes she has received?

The debacle that is now the FL and MI delegations was started by state governments looking to influence the primary and its nominee. For background: a election prediction document releases by the Obama camp showed each of the states either candidate had been predicted to win (Obama's view). This document has proven to be nearly spot on. I am sure the Clinton camp has one too, but it wasn't leaked and so...

Anyway, Obama predicted blowout losses in both WV and KT. Why? Because as independently thinking individuals, we are more like sheep than you could imagine. Politicians are aware of this and play to it. However, there are also characteristic in demographic and regional populations that give more than a clue to who will be the eventual winner. It should be no surprise that Obama struggles in Confederate States.

In reaction to the claims that "Hillary is finding her voice," albeit too late comments here and elsewhere I have question whether or not this is a fair analysis. Hillary started this campaign as an Ivy leaguer on her couch ready for the conversation to begin. I won't belabor the daily transformations many have noted, but I will say it is a long way from the g-droppin, gun toten, wild Hill making racially divisive appeals across Appalachia. In fact, I challenge the notion that this voice would have carried New York, New Jersey, Massechussetts, or California.

The order of the contest has allowed Hillary to be each Hillary we have seen as dictated by the state. And though she isn't far from the nomination (think about the metrics being used, and though she is behind, I say what is 100 thousand votes out of 35 mil; what is 200 delegates out of more than 3500. She is in this race and if the times called for supers to overturn Obama's lead, we couldn't be all that mad about it. Though I see no reason for that to happen. I feel Obama is as strong a candidate in this election cycle.)

With that said, Hillary Clinton is no closer to the nomination than she was after the potomic primaries, she is just in Kentucky.

It was too late from day one. Women just don't believe in sisterhood. If women did believe Clinton would have been the nominee hands down. But women just don't honor what has been long practiced by men-brotherhood.

One of the most important facets of a life, if not the most important, is brotherhood. All of us could define brotherhood differently and exactly what it means to any one individual, but the fact is that you really can't fully describe it unless you've experienced it yourself. Brotherhood is a lot of things. Taking a brother to the airport, picking them up and driving them home, talking about how to get ahead, support male political candidate over female candidate (it’s just brotherhood) , working out together, hiring and paying men more money for the same job a woman has, helping each other advance their careers, covering each others backs, mentoring, giving a recommendation for a job, knowing you have friends for life that have walked down the same road with you are all examples of brotherhood.

Most women in corporate America have little interest in sisterhood. Their feeling is that they climbed the corporate ladder the hard way so their advice to their sister is to start climbing. You won't get any help from female executives. In corporate America females climb the ladder alone most of the time.

This is why woman don't flock to Clinton emasse. As a group, we have no concept of sisterhood. What duties and obligations do we owe our sister? When should we put our ideology aside and advance the cause of sisterhood. When do we see sisterhood as a way of improving the lives of our daughters, sisters, nieces and mothers?

Here we have a viable, capable female candidate and while she captured a large majority of the female vote, a large majority turned their back on her-turned their back on sisterhood. Why? I don't know. But what I can say we better start to understand the role of sisterhood our lives, commit to making sisterhood happen, otherwise we are destined to second place forever. You decide. The choice is yours.

How can she possibly be "ready on day one" when it took her a year of campaigning just to find "her voice". If a call comes in at 3am, and Hillary answers it, will it then take her a year to find the right strategy to deal with it? Obama has had the same message since day one of his campaign. He knows his voice because it's not some fake, manufactured image-of-the-week to attract voters. It's who he is. I wonder if we'll ever know who Hillary is after she finishes trying on her new populist costume and finds a REAL voice.

So, Anne in PA...we are against sisterhood if we don't support Clinton. I don't buy it for a minute.

I could squabble about much of what you say and agree with some of what you say. But the bottom line is, there are some real clear (to me) specific reasons that I don't support Clinton and it has absolutely nothing to do with her being a woman. Of course I'm not "allowed" to talk about all the reasons because we Obama supporters can't say anything negative about Clinton because then Clinton supporters (en masse) say they won't vote for Obama in the Fall. So I guess you'll just have to trust me on that one (although that's ironic because a lack of trust is one of the issues that I'll let leak about why I'm not supporting CLinton and if the polls are accurate, I'm not alone here).

So, according to your argument, sisterhood has me voting for the slate of females even if they aren't the superior candidate. I don't think so, that's not how I choose to exercise my hard fought right to vote.

I have and will continue to support good female and male candidates, but not in the interest of sisterhood. I do so, in the interest of supporting the good old US of A.

In terms of sisterhood, I have an eight year old daughter. I continue to watch out for people who will be good mentors to her as she grows older. Many of these people, I note, are women. But not all.

I don't poo-poo the notion of sisterhood...I think woman do have to stand up for each other in many situations. I look at all my female friends who have undergone deplorable treatment by male spouses and boyfriends. I owe them my support, I owe them all I can give them...in the interest of sisterhood. But my notion of supporting sisterhood does not extend to voting for the second best person for the job when I can vote for the first.

I wouldn't want any of the brothers to do that to me or my daughter and I live by the Golden Rule.

I appreciate your insights even as I don't agree with them.

I have to disagree with you. This is not a farternity. I would have totally supported Hillary if she would have conducted herself as a lady. She started to act like one of the boys therefore she was treated as such. I would have been thrilled to throw my support behind her if I thought she was the best candidate, I don't. This sense of entitlement is what has most of the younger generation running as far away from her as possible. No one is entitle to anything you have to earn it. And for those that discredit the younger generation should really think twice about that they are the ones that are going to make all the difference. They want there voices heard and they don't like to be told what to do or how to vote. Free will that is what it comes down to. No one owes nothing to anyone.

A pundit said last night if you had asked the Clinton's before the election if they would become the candidate of choise of blue-collar Dems, they would have thought you were crazy. The reason - is because that's not who she represents. Finding her voice huh? Yeah right..I supported her at first, but the fake tears and the horrible, mean spirited way that she and her husband ran her campaign turned me off of them. In fact, whenever I hear her voice, accented depending on wherever she is in the country, I turn the TV to mute. Between McCain and his whistly s's (think Herbert from family guy) and her fill in the blank accent, I have worn my mute button out!!

Al Gore won and then he lost...we all know how that happened. Can you imagine the court battle that would have ensued if Hillie had been in Al Gore's position. He did a noble thing when he conceded for the good of the country...the crooks were stacked against him. Hillie would have said country be damned I'm going to get what's mine. That's the impression her campaigning has given me.

Hillary lost me for good with the Bosnia lie. Were we supposed to admire the fact she took her daughter to a hot landing zone? I thought it spoke volumes about her character, or lack of it.

I will say this, however, I WOULD VOTE for HER if she's the nominee. I would never betray the people who died to protect my right to vote by voting for a warmonger Republican.

I have absolutely no respect for Democrats who plan to vote for McShame.

I only hope Democrats that do vote for him don't have children to witness the betrayal of their future.

She found her voice when she voted and allowed Bush to invade Iraq; when she voted for phony bankruptcy reform; when she supported Kyle-Leiberman; when she increased divisions between us; when she became hawkish; when she pandered for the gas tax holiday; and numerous other times. I heard her voice, I disagreed with it, and now I would call on her to hear our voices, stop undercutting our nominee and support him as we move toward November.

I don't think she found her voice. I think as we are coming to the end of this process, she reinvented her voice to speak to the people of West Virginia and Kentucky who support her strongly and have from the beginning. They are not new constituents. For the most part, they are at the bottom rung of the economic and educational index, with much to lose if they sink further down in this time of economic crises. The politics of fear is an easy sell for Hillary Clinton in these area and she has capitalized on it. In the process of doing so she has offended many others who supported her "prior voice."

I would like to know who the real Hillary Clinton is? I don't think we have seen her yet.

When a candidate has to be told what to say, to whom to say it, and how to say it vs. taking control of their own destiny, well, that's a problem. Why pretend or take advice for someone to "Not Be Yourself" That's called Pandering. We cannot afford to have this kind of representation in the White house.

Unfortunately has done a huge disservice to women by always blaming someone else for her troubled campaign. She also set a very Poor Example by refusing to this day to accept the Party Rules. Changing the goal post is not what we teach our children nor do we want someone else teaching them to win by dishonesty.

At the end of the day we have a candidate, and being a woman has nothing to do with it as millions of women will tell you, that simply could not play by the rules and used women to further her own cause. That continues to this day.

There are millions of women world wide that play by the rules and accept when they loose according to the rules by looking into the mirror and learning from any mistakes they made along the way. That's how we learn from our mistakes.

Sen. Clinton has dissapointed millions the press is not the problem because she enjoyed 90% better press than Sen. Obama as he had to struggle to get any favorable press until the numbers just weren't there.

Sen. Obama has been and continues to be very respectful of Sen. Clinton reagardless of what those women like Geraldine Ferarrer say. We are dissapointed in her to to use a campaign to question our intellect. Sen. Obama defended her publicy and her work in the Civil Rigthts movement, yet because she received critism for those she thinks are Sen. Obama's supporters for her awful remarks she is laying the blame at his feet. Even this morning Ms. Farrer showed how completely out of touch she was by mistreperting Sen. Obama' JZ move to letting the negative comments role off to "Brushing Off Sen. Clinton". So NOT TRUE. These women must decide what they stand for, either the betterment of the American People or for Self. Bottom line

This campaign is not about any candidate never has been it's about the suffering of the American People and this Recession. Anyone who does not understand that should not be a part of this process.

Fortunately, when you take a selfish position for self vs. the American people that tells the American just who you are and what you stand for.

There's been too much self in Washington that's what got us into this mess in the first place. The American people are tired and will take back this country.

Sen. Clinton may have a lot of women that support her behavior rather placing the blame where it belongs on her failed campaign strategy, took certain things for granted, did not follow the rules or did not fully understand them or take them serious, made a pledge in writing that Michigan and Fl. would not count even said publicly they did not count and changed her mind when her numbers fell behind. A great Candidate must keep their no matter what. If they cannot keep their word or accept responsibility for their own campaign, then this is not someone we want in the White House. Yes this is a woman talking anf many millions of Women across American feel the same. We don't need protecting. We earn our way and accept responsibility for those things that are within our power to change, correct and did not

So it's time for Sen. Clinton to Play By the Rules, accept responsibility for her own campaign errors/mismanagement and either join her party or choose to join her Republican counter parts which she continues to look to for guidance.
