The Hagee thing is disappointing.

Hagee says something offensive about Catholics, and that's okay. But when someone finds a clip about Hitler and Jews, then McCain rejects his endorsement?

Someone should remind McCain that while the Jewish vote is significant in Florida, the Catholic vote is significant in something like 30 states. Nationally, nearly one out of four votes will be cast by a Catholic.

John McCain is an angry old jerk. His policy, I know I'm old and I don't know anything, so I'll attack Obama. Geez, he is just like Dick Cheney. Wake up American, McCain is an incompetent politician who doesn't give a rip about anyone but himself and his perfect little blonde wife Cindy, who he chased around while still married. The problem with McCain is he is stupid! The lack of ability to have a dialouge or simple discussion will constantly remind people of Bush. Um, I don't know the answer so I'll say something nasty about my apponent, because that way I won't have to answer the question. McCain is no Regan, he is a combo of Cheney and Bush. The worst two people to ever run this country. When will the media start to actually cover his flip-flops, lack of knowledge on the economy, judgement, and everything else. Probably never, becuase they look at him and say oh, he reminds me of my grandpa. I can't be hard on him. The media has sucked during this campaign. You guys are doing about the same type of job on this as you did on the run up to the Iraq war. You should all return your degrees and walk away ashamed! I get a big laugh at how screwed up Parsley is regarding why our country was founded. Obviously he's clueless thinking our country was founded to battle Islam. That is total blasphemy!

I think "Warmonger" McCain has to explain why he wasn't in Washington DC yesterday to vote on the Iraq funding and GI Bills. He has no right dissing Obama about veteran's benefits when he can't bother to vote on the issue. That Senate deadbeat can't even bother to show up for work to even bother to vote for our soldiers which shows just how much he doesn't care about our soldiers or vets.

You know, fundamentally I am ready to move on from Hagee and Wright but I can't help but note that Obama got very heavy-handed treatment from ALL quarters about Wright whereas a lot of it are tired of all the distracting CRAP by now and so McCain may get close to a free ride on Hagee.

It just seems like business as usual with the Republicans getting away with acting like they are morally superior (a notion to which I reject). But clearly we all should pivot on the CRAP issues and go to more substantial ones so we move on. I give the Dems the high road on this one. We all know where the Republican 527s will go.

McCain has made a big mistake here and it will hurt him in November. He should have done what Reagan did - not explicitly seek the endorsement of any religious whack job. That way you aren't forced to reject them later on - an act that is far more damaging than the endorsement itself. Expect the already flaccid enthusiasm of the GOP base to be suppressed further. With Bob Barr added to the mix and he may have no choice but add Mike Huckabee to the ticket.

Again, the media are being bias when it comes to the treatment of McCain. He sought the endorsement for a year by courting the evangelical despite their radical views. McCain not only sought Hagee's endorsement but share his views.

The question we should be asking McCain is, what took him so long? Why did he seek the endorsement in the first place? How about his judgment when it comes to whom he associate himself with?

There was not one, but THREE flame throwing pastors that McCain associated himself with. Does everyone forget him giving a commencement speech at Liberty University to appease Falwell who is also a agent of intolerance until he died?

I can't fathom how Wright got two months of coverage (and still comes up repeatedly in conversation), plus a 1 hour special on MSNBC, but McCain going out of his way to associate with equally vile men (on THREE ocassions) doesn't even get covered for a full segment on most of your shows.

The first excuse was that these guys didn't have sound bites (which was proven false). Then the excuse was that McCain wasn't members of their church, when Parsley was his spiritual mentor even though Wright was never Obama's. Now it's basically the media giving John McCain the benefit of the doubt and somehow the nation cares more about his health records.

What's the difference between Parsley screaming hate-filled things into a camera and Wrigth screaming hate-filled things into a camera.....other than their race?

--Interesting choice there. I kind of thought the Betray-Us/Petraeus juxtaposition was a clever play-on words. However, I can certainly understand and agree with the point that calling the main General a traitor during a time of war goes far too far--unless he truly was treasonous, which no sane person would accuse Gen. Petraeus of.

--It is also an interesting choice to call somebody (Obama) an 'appeaser' from foreign soil (G.W. Bush). People make all sorts of false connections (Wright/Hagee), but these are actually akin.
