Obama should select a mid aged white man. I don't think selecting an older running mate will work. He should definitely not selecting Hillary Clinton! No offense against Hillary!

I still think John Edwards will be work and be best.

McClain definitely needs someone younger than him! McClain is showing aroung his medical records to prove that he's 70 and still ticking.....

I am a fan of Sam Nunn, I think he'd be a great pick. Daschle seems good too but I will wait to see the advantages and disadvantages of a few more before emailing Obama my pick (LOL).

Nunn would be good, because he is fairly conservative for a Democrat, and he is well-known and respected in military circles. He'd make a good choice Mccain couldn't call naive and inexperienced, (taking a pointer from HRC's playbook).

Do not pick Hillary as your running mate, Senator Obama. Your children need their father. Hillary is desperate to get back into the White House, because it is the only way that she and her sexual predator husband can escape from the Peter Paul lawsuit. As President, she could claim immunity and pardon the sexual predator.

Kathleen Sebelius would be a better choice. She is female, which is apparently the only qualification that Hillary supporters care about, and she is very popular in Kansas. She might even put Kansas in play in November.

Obama/Sebelius in 2008. Integrity matters and the Clintons have none.

VEEP stakes, as our first article today is right on.

For Obama, the possibility of Clinton as his Veep is too dangerous. I like the idea of Hagel. I find it an absolutely exciting idea. Though my first choice would be Powell, I don't think America could handle too many AA shoved in their faces all at once!

McCain definitely needs a calming presence, with smarts to boot.

I have a question: will McCain insist that his vice-presidential running mate have a sterling military record? His critique of Obama on this point would indicate that his own running mate could not be weak in this area, thus negating criticism of Obama's lack of military cridentials. Just asking.

I like Nunn - I wish he were a little younger, though.

I think Biden would be excellent in debates and discussions on substantive foreign policy issues.

Hagel - interesting, but no.

Sebelius - No: too boring.

Jim Webb - good because of military credentials. But sometimes he has that serial-killer expression on his face (McCain has it too sometimes - must be a veteran thing)

Daschle - I like him, but I don't have a good feeling about him as a VP pick - he doesn't seem forceful enough (he's no Biden)

Clinton: for God's sake NO! Chris Matthews: wake up - this is a terrible idea!

I hope McCain does choose Pawlenty. First, it would get him out of our state, and second, McCain doesn't seem to realize that Pawlenty barely got reelected here. The only reason he did is that his opponent imploded at the end of the race.

Why do people keep suggesting Chuck Hagel for Obama's veep? Have any of you looked at his voting record in depth? I want solid Democrats in the White House this time around. Dems shouldn't even think of diluting our power by bringing in a Republican as a running mate. Very dumb idea no matter how much you might admire Hagel for a few selected stances.
