I have been a Barack Obama supporter since the beginning of his campaign, however here in Rural Kentucky ( nearest neighbor is half a mile in any direction)it has'nt been easy to talk other's into supporting him also.I have been called some names in which I took offense to & argued on Barack's behalf.I never considered Hillary because my own Personal opinion was I wanted America to be done with a Bush-Clinton-Bush-almost Clinton Monopoly on our National Politic's.As the Primary season wore on, my assupmtion about Hillary became even clearer, she was never in it for America, she was Only in it for Herself.

As this day wear's on, i would personally like to Thank all of Barack's supporter's across America that come to this sight & argue on his behalf, that he is indeed the candidate to take America forward. We've been bombarded with daily blast after daily blast about how he is'nt up to the challenge's that confront America & the World.We have withstood this onslaught & now move onto the General election in November.

To all the Hillary supporter's who claim to be Real Democrat's, Put Up or Shut Up. This is'nt about Hillary or You, it's about what's best moving forward & the good Lord know's the last 8 year's have been a Trainwreck.If you want to continue this Trainwreck, then i say vote for Mccain or stay home in November. Today is one of the best days in my entire life!

As a 57 year old, married woman of 32 years, with 3 children, one of which is a medical doctor, another a physics engineer, and the last a pizza delivery man, (who would benefit from one of those jobs that were shipped overseas), and a new grandma of 18 mos., that's saying a whole lot!

He has overcome his race, age, experience, his wired name, his religious affiliations, his gaffes and one the fiercest competitors in political history in America the Clinton Dynasty.

Letter to Barack Obama:

Dear Senator Obama,

Here is some unsolicited, unemotional, no-drama advice.

Offer to help Mrs. Clinton pay off her campaign debt AND let her know there is a cabinet position waiting for her if she wants it. Do this in exchange for her vigorous help and support with your Presidential campaign.

BUT do not offer her the Vice President nomination, please.

Reasons not to ask Hillary Clinton to be your VP:

1. It will energize and mobilize the Republicans against you and the Democrats.

2. She will not be able to subordinate her ideas and style to your ideas and style.

3. As a Clinton she will stand in complete contradiction to your over-arching theme of CHANGE.

4. Bill Clinton! Remember what happened when Ferraro's husband was not vetted completely and properly; his dirty laundry helped sink that Democratic ticket. Bill is a loose cannon. Bill Clinton's many volitale issues, which you were gracious enough not to bring up in the primaries, will provide a field day for the Republicans to hurt you.

From a loyal supporter who really does want to see you win the Presidency in the fall.

It is really sad that some people are so bitter that they feel they have to vote for John McCain in the fall, just because your candidate didnt win. Just remember as you make your threats what the last eight years have been like. I guess you all have done pretty well financially, think the war is going well, enjoy paying $4+ a gallon for gas, enjoy not having healthcare, and the list goes on.
I for one have made more and more money in the almost eight years of the Bush presidency, yet i have sense enough to see that Barack Obama will be so much better for this nation and for the working men and women, and families of this nation. Don't be blinded by ignorance or hate or hurt feelings, or some other stupid reason and end up voting (YET AGAIN) against your own best interests. I would think that two terms of that is MORE than enough.

I've been an Obama supporter since South Carolina (after Richardson and then Edwards dropped out). I've read Obama's books and grown to admire him more and more as a real hope to unite us on the issues that we share instead of what divides. And he is so smart! Look how well he managed this campaign. And I was shuddering at the thought of Sen. Clinton forcing herself on as VP until a friend in Phoenix told about a rumor that Obama would announce her as his pick tonight and I thought about it all day long and you know what? I think that would be good. Imagine him saying that to unite this country his first step is to unite our party. And in the Lincoln tradition, keep your rivals close to you to keep your eye on them and co-opt them into your leadership. And imagine this scene tonight if Sen. Clinton somehow slipped in to St. Paul and joined him with hands raised on that platform where the Republicans are to meet in a couple of months - won't that deflate their balloons! Then McCain says, "Gee, maybe I should pick a VP" Maybe Obama can offer him a place in his cabinet next January.

Yes we can. And so far, we did good.

I just cannot stop sobbing with relief and sheer exuberant JOY! Despite "the kitchen sink", Senator Obama , his wife Michelle and his staff stayed the course and made this leg of the journey come to fruition. I will savor the joy for tonight, because tomorrow we begin in earnest to take back the White House and the Congress.
As for VP, I pray that Sen Obama does NOT choose Senator Clinton....that's just too heavy baggage for the rest of this journey. I do hope that he finds a strong and capable woman to join him on the ticket.

I can see beyond race and gender. I can't base any part of my vote on something so superficial. I have nothing against a black or female president. At the same time, I also don't think we owe the world a black or female president any more than Mexico does.

And I don't think it will matter much to you and yours if McCain selects Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice or Sarah Palin as his running mate.

It's the Democrat thing that I can't get past.
