2. Her night at the convention.
3. The point person for a Hillary Clinton Universal Health Bill.

Pundits are looking at trees and don't see the forest, but I speculate that Hillary may not want to stay in the Senate. Why? So many fellow senators are supporting Barack. So...Maybe a cabinet position or a chance to be on the Supreme Court. In lieu of a VP, Barack may consider Hillary to replace the only position being held by a woman.

The main stream media, and The DNC treated Hillary like a second class citizen right from the very start and gave Obama a pass on everything.

There have been a lot of things said during this election cycle. On this blog we've always waited for some left field comment from Pat Huntington.

I was later surprised to find out it was a guy all along but despite who he chose I respected his right to his opinion...

Both sides of this blog has said very nasty things about other candidate and his/her supporters... But I'm glad to finally say its over...

I wish Pat and others that feel like him, with the warmest regards and wishes of good luck on your new choice for president for its your right as an American...

I urge those core Obama supporters and the new ones that a starting to join to move on from Clinton bashing; they have done a lot for all of us... In my heart of hearts I know Hillary meant the country nothing but good in her quest and will continue to move us forward in some official capacity. It's with caution, but I believe because of the way she played the game she deserves to be on the ticket, if she can stand being second. I don't know its for them to decide.

I only know that gas is too high, I will lose my 20 year job come November because its going to Mexico, and another car bomb just went off in Iraq; more soldiers not coming home. Vote for McCain if you must I'm going to try and save my future, America's future...

Today the NYT which endorsed HRC had to chastise her yet again. "Nagging doubts about her character" are to blame, they say, for the "campaigns'negativity". HRC's behavior Tues. night, her refusal to concede, must deny her a spot on the ticket. I believe the Obama camp will be brave enough to select someone different for VP. Excitement and admiration abroad is being widely reported. Obama's international standing will surprise Americans (including McCain).

Glad to see Hillary finally bowing out, or bowing, mostly, to advisers who are sick of the mess she's made, and are telling her to get over herself. Good advice, and I'm glad she's taking it. Why in the world is she keeping her name as a nominee at the convention?Is it really that she just loves to hear her name followed by applause? She should under no circumstances be Veep, she'd try to undermine Obama and steal his thunder, and Bill would just be an embarrassment to the country. I told you guys months ago that the fat-bottom ganged was doomed the moment that Obama trapped HRC into saying that she would garnish the wages of working Americans to pay for mandatory health insurance. The Warrior Princess blowing off the six year old girl when she told her that she couldn't talk to reporters didn't help either. And don't forget that while Obama was knocking on doors in Iowa Hillary was flying around in a black hellicopter. Iowans were not impressed.

It's interesting when you look at the facts...

...The Clintons haven't had to concede anything since 1980. The nation has never had to see them admit they lost anything.

The key word is "suspend"...she keeps her delegates and she can still go through the nomination process in Denver and her delegates can still vote for her...and should the unthinkable occur, the machinery is still in place for her to step in and be the nominee.

Tuesday was a turning point...McAuliffe's introduction of "the next President of the United States" and the failure to acknowledge Senator Obama's status as the presumptive nominee seemed to not only rub Obama supporters the wrong way but it seems to have disturbed Senator Clinton's supporters in Congress.

Relax, everyone. No reason, as the first strong woman candidate, she shouldn't put her name in, let her pledged delegates vote for her in the first round, then lose gracefully. No delegate fights, no Credentials mayhem.

I am an Obama supporter, but done gracefully (a stretch for the Clinton's but with enough support I think they can pull it off), this allows history to be made in both camps without in any way marring the convention.

Okay, Pat. Folks have been trying, in fits and starts, to allow Mrs. C to depart graciously, and the problem is her stubborn refusal to do so. Somewhere between Wisconsin and yesterday (a mere four months), 'toughness' (or posturing as same) became a real divisive course of action. She had four months to step away graciously, be a 'team player' and so on, and her most recent request to 'have a couple of days to decide what to do' was just the real clincher---implicit threat to direct "her" 18 million voters (as if they are trained robots---I think not) or to hold out for being 'given' something (seeking to put Obama in a poor light as a 'weak' negotiator) or simply disrespecting 'the rules of the game' and, inherently, the voting decisions made by millions. She stayed too long at the party; that said, it's time to move to the real questions for all involved; too much is at stake to do otherwise.

I don't understand how people who claim to want a new direction in health care, the economy, the war, etc can now suddenly throw it all away and declare they will vote McCain or not vote. What about the future lost lives in Iraq, the needy and over burdened middle class - dont you still care about them? Why would a smart person want to cut off their nose to spite their face just because they didn't get their way in the nomination process? If your toddler or teen acted that way you would be scolding them for being selfish. I was hoping Obama would choose her as VP, but think that would be a mistake because of the vetting on Bill, and the late night pizza parties in the West Wing with Interns coming in to Bill's all-nighters, and having another Monica Luisznki moment... No one can keep a lid on Bill and he could prove to be a BIG distraction for OB. Plus, I thik the heart sergery he had may have altered his brain a little and made him somewhat bipolar.

Of course. She is about to become one of his most enthusiastic supporters. She will do well for him on the stump...as will Bill and all of her other top supporters. What's to vitriol about?

But it should be noted it was her own NY delegation that suggested she stop now - along with 23 of her other top supporters. It's starting to come out that many of THEM were urging her to quit months ago. She ran a poor campaign (that's not nasty), she was ill served by her early choices in the campaign but... still, she ran a heck of a race (not vitriolic) and eventually - she lost (the truth).

She'll be just fine...She and Bill are Democrats and both will continue to serve the Party. Saturday she will appeal to her followers to do the same.

Those who don't will be warmly welcomed into the Republican Party and the McCain camp. Go in peace.

Have we learned nothing?! I am an Obama supporter, however, I believe that Hillary Clinton ran a competitive race. Had the shoe been on the other foot, I know that I would be deeply offended and alienated if people were speaking about my candidate in such disrespectful terms.

The type of dialogue that I'm seeing from both sides does nothing except for guarantee that we will have four more years of a Bush presidency in the form of John McCain.

To Clinton Supporters: Please understand that the vicious, petty statements of some Obama supporters reflects neither the candidate nor the sentiments of the majority of his supporters. Do not cut off your nose to spite your face: a vote for McCain is the WRONG vote; we are Democrats first and foremost. Do not allow emotion to cloud judgement.

To Obama supporters: Be gracious in victory. As MY mother always said: "Be good to people on your way up, because those are the same people you will meet on your way down." Learn to turn the other cheek and reach out to the other side, whether they be Independent, Republican, or Hillary supporter. We are Americans first and change will not come without the help of ALL Americans.
