He did NOT back off his undivided Jerusalem position. Nevertheless, it IS the case that, re his pandering, the so-called "bitter" remark was to that 'Frisco crowd as was the Jerusalem undivided remark was to the AIPAC crowd.

All you Obama-haters will latch on to the Wright stuff, so spew your venom. I care not a whit.

However, I did notice that many Obama supporters did point out that he shouldn't have said that about Jerusalem. That's quite a hot button topic, and if he has any chance of brokering peace (which is already a looooong shot) that's not the type of comments that he should make now.

Meanwhile, McCain is still trying to remember what he said to AIPAC and who the Palestinians are. "Are they Shia or Sunni?"

Obama needs to learn to think on his feet a little better. His big speeches/rhetoric that worked for democrats will not work in the GE.

I worry that his real inexperience is going to come shinning through.

The Wright story dominated the media coverage, because as a nation, we knew nothing about Barak and Wright's message seemed in direct contrast with his message. And his failure to drop him sooner only added to the media frenzy.

He really needs to bring Hillary along with him.

Experience really does matter.

This accusation of "flipflopping" is beginning to irritate me beyond endurance.

Does that mean it is so much better to do what Shrub did, have one fixed idea in his mini brain and push it even when the evidence contradicts what he is doing?

Seriously, that is why we are in the mess we are in. I would rather have someone grow as the evidence changes.

And do find new hosts for "Morning Joe." That show is back to being terrible.

We need to have a president who is not in the pocket of Isreal, but who will treat the Palestinians with respect for the land they've lost. The Jews said that they needed a buffer zone for security when they took land from the Arabs in 1967 and 1973. Sounds a lot like Hitler's "Lebensraum" claim. After 40 years it's been proven that this extra land has provided Isreal with no security as the Arabs have gone to unconventional warfare and have just been inflamed for that whole time wanting their land back.

The way the Jews are mistreating the Palestinians in Gaza is abhorent and they will never have peace until they stop that illegal blockade and start talking with Hamas's government. After over two years it's rather obvious that the blockade has only hardened support for Hamas against Isreal. Time to try treating them like real human beings so that they change their position with Isreal.

Go Obama 08/12!

I realize you guys over here at first read actually want people to read your articles, but the general election has begun. You can't just focus on Obama and every little thing that you find interesting. How about starting to REPORT on the daily gaffes of John McCain? John has tried to ACT so different than Bush, but now supports the continued illegal action of spying on Americans without a warrant (a flip flop...of which he's had about 20 that continue to elude you guys).

First off, Obama can't make the Israelis give back the united Jerusalem. I don't think he should. If the Israelis are foolish enough to do that, let them. I think the item that Obama should state clearly is that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and move the embassy there as soon as he is elected.

Can we lay off the Wright story? It is dead and should be buried back with the classifeds of the newspaper as non-relevent. Who cares what this retired pastor has to say? I don't.

Wow, two days as the presumptive nominee and BO's already caused a stir in the mideast. And, yes, he did flipflop. The man sure does like to hear himself talk. He doesn't know how to keep his mouth shout. And, he sure better learn to think before he speaks! I'm so tired of him saying things and then he or his surrogates coming back to say "that's not what he meant." The mideast is so volatile; too many gaffes like this and BO could cause a war! Things like this are way experience IS important. BO's out of his league. Go back to the Chicago streets.

I think that Senator Obama somethimes leaves out what he believes normal,thoughtful people should already know and understand. He needs to get better at making complete answers and not assume that people have all the surrounding information working in their reasoning. I like Senator Obama very much and I have seen much improvement over thise months. I do believe his mistake is honest and is more of his wanting to believe that Americans think logically. He will need to take more time to give a more complete explantion of his positions and not assume everyone "gets it".
