Obviously, since she announced that she would discuss the importance of the presidentical campaign against McCain, Obama would and should have some talking points he would want her to include in her speech. It makes sense that the two of them would hammer out that speech together.

Plus, I suspect Obama finally found out "what Hillary wants." For starters, he gets her database, she gets her debt paid off.

As someone who did not endorse Obama, I am impressed at the way they met and how quickly they met. Meeting at one of her big supporters homes (Feinstein), shows that they will unite this party.

Of course no one knows how the meeting went between Hillary and Barack. All we have is tea leaves to analyze. That being said I cannot resist my analysis of the tea leaves.
1. The VP will be taken off the table. Bill is carrying too much baggage. Library donations and business dealings.
2. Barack will help paying the campaign debt by doing joint fundraisers.
3. The surprise: Barack will make a tailor made cabinet position for Hillary so she can do her health care project, and children programs. Hillary may not want to go back to the Senate as too many senators switched to Barack.
4. Maybe later, depending to the election outcome, Hillary may be appointed to Supreme court.
5. Hillary and Barack will work hard together through to November. That's what the tea leaves say.

I am a BO supporter who doesn't beleive HRC would be a good choice but I have faith in Sen Obama and also in the team he chose to run the VP selection process. If that produces Sen. Clinton as the best choice, so be it.

What I would like is an explanation from Sen. Clinton's supporters as to how McCain is a better choice for a democrat than Obama. Especially a democrat who supports Clinton. Clinton and McCain are so far apart on issues (the War, healthcare, the economy, etc.) that it is staggering.

Also I notice throughout the blogs that Sen Clintons supporters seem to want to blame Sen Obama's supporters for their vote for McCain. That is like sending me to jail because of something my child did. Some Obama supporters (and Hillary supporters) are jerks, but that is why they can't run for anything much less President.

First of all, let me just predict with very little uncertainty that Obama will NOT choose Hillary for the VP slot. I just don't see it. I think Hillary will rally her supporters to him no matter what and I don't think she really wants the VP role anyway.
I find it amusing that the press was out of the loop, I'm sure they were just in a panic when Obama wasn't on the plane back to Chicago.
Finally, I feel very good about Obama's campaign going forward, I think his organization skills are unparalleled, and I don't think it is going to be as close as people think in November. I think side by side comparisons that will be glaring when Obama and McCain are debating or at these proposed town hall meetings are going to be disasterous for McCain. Time for change is now and the movement is powerful!!!!!!

Ok, ok. We have all heard the dream ticket talk and there is obviously pro's and con's to both.
However, in any case, no matter who Obama chooses, he absolutely NEEDS Hillary's support and hard work.
We tend to view things so much from the surface, but if we look at this situation closely, I honestly think that Obama and Clinton can and WILL resolve any differences they have. Hillary's coming around and at this point, I welcome her joining forces with Obama. We dems cannot overlook the fact that Clinton has built a massive base much like Obama, and only together can they defeat McCain. I'm not saying they have to RUN together, I just think they have to work together and I think they are both showing a humble approach to this and I commend Hillary for showing good faith. We may have all had differences during the primaries, but one thing is certain:
It's time to put that behind us and to now show a united front. A true dem stick to his/her cause.
You can believe that had Clinton won the nomination, Obama would have backed her with his full support.
So, please: If both camps can all be bigger people and come together as one, than so should we, as the PEOPLE.

It is probably good they met. I hope Hillary stressed that she does not want on the ticket. I am sure Obama does not want her either.

It does not matter to me who he puts on the ticket. I won't support an Obama ticket no matter who is on it.

I have re-registered as an independant and will vote McCain. The DNC failed me when they did the hatchet job on Hillary.

Obama is too green to be president. His waffling on the Israel is the latest example. First he says this and then he says that. Too green by half. He is scary and no one really knows him nor what he stands for, if anything.

Seems to me he has one thing in mind. Promoting Africa, denouncing his mother's race, black liberation (again), black supremacy, standing by his bittergate opinions. Obama & Michelle are in LOCKSTEP with Wright, Ayers, Khalidi, Dohrn, Pfledger, Rezko and others. They are elitist but have NO class i.e the dress she wore on Tuesday and the swat Obama gave her on her butt as she left the stage...no class.

That Senators Schumer, Rangel and others continue to promote the VP position for a Clinton makes one question their judgement. Surely they know that the vetting process would reveal a multitude of serious questionable, perhaps even litigable deals with possible felons and foreign entities. That they continue to claim that she ran a great campaign, too, makes one wonder about their ethical standards -- the lying, cheating, rules-changing, deception and organizational mis-managment was a disgrace. We've had more than enough of that ilk of slick willy and shrilly hilly. I'm sure the Obama team will tap the available reservoir of truly worthy Democrats who operate under better standards and values than those reflected by that pair. We need leaders who honor fairness, honesty, integrity, character and transparency -- all of which the Clintons have shown a serious lack of.

So now they'll sit on their ill-gotten millions and go hat in hand leveraging for Obama to pay off the millions they squandered in their dirty campaign. And god only knows what other dirty deals they'll try to broker. How typical that is for this sleazy pair!
