Same goes for you Chairman Dean...a title you should be stripped of for your bias against Senator Clinton during this primary. So I don’t think either of you have any right to stand before us and tell us to all come on board the Obama band wagon. He hasn’t the experience to lead this country and I am not ready to throw my support behind him. I don’t know if I will come around or not but as of today...no way. I am still trying to figure out why in the hell, given the current state of affairs in this country; the people go with the guy with the least amount of experience. It is almost as puzzling as GWB wining a second term. And for those naive enough to think that one person is going to “Change” Washington and the way it does business...I only hope that when he doesn’t deliver on that campaign promise you will come to your senses next time and go with the man or woman who actually has a complete resume...not one in the making.

Dems stress unity

There is no more unity in the democratic party. No MORE. These party elitist should have pledged their allegiants based on fact---not fiction. Hillary with her tremendous strength, knowledge and courage was tossed aside for an ill-qualified community organizer with two years of Senate experience. I firmly believe Obama to be the weakest candidate to head the ticket. Those same party leaders did not have the courage to realize this and they will pay a price for their stupidity.
I have been a loyal supporter of the party my entire adult life---No More. You have shown me time and time again that you are gutless and have no clear clue how to win elections. You lack the vision and the wisdom to do anything other than pat your own pockets and run from the truth---for shame. Your actions have forced many of us centralist democrats to seek alliance with the moderate conservative wing of the Republican Party.
I do not speak for all Hillary supporters, though I do hope I speak for many of them when I say to the party…. you have failed us---you have failed Hillary, and you will once again fail to win the White House, and because of your failure---the party WILL pay a high price. I watched and listen to Hillary ask her supporters to now throw their support to Obama, for the sake of the party. Hillary is a loyalist to the party---why, I’m not sure.
I respect Hillary tremendously, however the party and the process did her wrong and this cannot stand. YES THIS WILL BE A PROTEST VOTE, a vote against the DNC-you need to clean your act up and remember your core constituents, because “Yes We Can” make a difference. I am not afraid of McCain, he does not represent 4 more years of Bush---no one could possibly be that stupid. I believe him to be a man of honor who will do his best for this country and its people that he cares deeply for, and for that reason I will place my hope with him.
And to those Obama supporters, I am not “bitter” “old” “ugly” “uneducated” “living in a trailer” “sleeping with my uncle” or “picking my teeth with wood” . I am however, disenfranchised and VERY angry.
And one last thing, please don’t lecture me about McCain’s record---I know exactly where he stands on all the issues, and I will still cast my vote for him.

Dems stress unity

Yeah out of step.. but he is running a $300 million dollar campaign like a well oiled machine... As for those making more than that, Bush's tax cuts on the rich were never permanent. They were due to run out after he left office anyway, so it's pretty disingenuous to pretend that allowing those cuts to expire, as they were SUPPOSED to, is a tax "increase." Finally, when the country is in a fiscal emergency caused by Republican overspending and lack of fiscal restraint, where the HECK do they get off shaking their fingers at the Dems, especially when Bush inherited a surplus from Democrat Clinton that Bush started to destroy long before 9/11. But for the rest of you, who are filled with so much hate toward Obama and think McCain is your answer, by all means go for it. If we lose without you, we lose. But frankly what good does all the same tired whining and the "I'll vote for McSame" threat do? Go vote for McCain--but mostly, just GO! Rational people have no desire to hear for the fiftieth time your sad tales of injustice and bitterness. All two hundred or so of you are all over the internet spewing your endless monologues and it's gotten really old. You sound like a bunch of infantile sore losers with absolutely nothing to offer this party or your country except your own petty temper tantrums, and I had enough of that many years ago from my two year old.

Dems stress unity

Beware of scared Republicans posing as Clinton supporters on this blog. Obama is up 7% vs. McCain in the polls so they have a reason to be nervous.

Dems stress unity

I am an Obama supporter. If Hillary had one fair and square I would have sent her a check. I am an American before I am a democrat. I don't think there is a party called Obama or Hillary. Hillary lost. Get over it! Let's do what is best for our country. I cannot imagine anyone being so narrow minded just because their candidate did not win. Time to move on folks and unite to get our country on the right track. Remember, Obama and Hillary are not that far apart on the issues - so why vote against your principles. So imature and childish. I didn't get my way so I am going to sulk. I just don't understand that mentality. It's not about Hillary it's about our country.

Dems stress unity

By the way, Kathy, you are neither a centrist or a democrat and for you to even think you are is putting both lables in a bad light..and that is all they are is lables. If you feel the need to keep down the path of distruction because your candidate ran a lousy campaign, the you are a fool plain and simple. To call someone who can organize, be fiscally responsible and have the ability to think outside old conventions an elitist only goes to show the limited scope of your vision and the lack of control over your bitterness. As for your protest vote...polls say otherwise.

Dems stress unity

David, Indiana

I cant tell if you are trying to be satirical or a racist twit...darn text only post

Dems stress unity

honestly...first read...why you let some of these comments slide - with racist undertones, idiot references to Obama's faith. really. granted, speech is free...but it starts to sound a lot like Fixed Noise around here when some of these "informed" folks get their comments published....

Dems stress unity

I am cutting and pasting all of the Pro-Hillar/Anti Obama entries from here and other blogs. If Obama is not elected, I can guarantee you that I will put up an anti-Hillary site the day after the election in November and I will work to do all I can to make sure that she does not even get a whif of the nomination for 2012. All of you seem to forget that Barack had more votes than Hillary. I never held any animosity towards Hillary Clinton and I would have worked my tail off to get her elected if she were the nominee. She is not. I blame her loss on that idiot she had as an advisor (Mark Penn). That brainiack had her believeing the California was a winner take all state. (It must be hard work carrying around that humongous brain of his) She had no plan after Super Tuesday, She allowed Obama to run off 11 victories in a row. She did not contest in the caucus states. While she finished very strong, I believe that if she had run her campaign from the beginning as she did for the last 2 months, there would not be any discussion. So, to face facts, Obama ran an very good strategic campaign. We need to unite around Obama. We have gas at over $4.00 a gallon, almost 400,000 jobs lost this year alone, 1 million homes in or facing foreclosure. Thankfully my wife and I both have jobs. Not because of media bias (which still gives me the biggest chuckle), not because of overt sexism (not saying it wasn’t apart of some aspects of the process but no more so than the racism that reared its ugly head too), not because she was “cheated” or “robbed” as some claim as their excuse for denouncing Sen. Obama’s nomination, etc. Nope. None of these explanations are more clear to me than the obvious…KARMA.

Yep…that good old “you reap what you sow” adage that provides us with the consequences that affect our lives both good and bad.

I sat, listened, and watched day after day, week after week, as did millions of other voters/supporters of both Clinton and Obama to what was being said and done to gain the nomination by these two candidates. Did Sen. Obama make mistakes? Hell yes! Some of his own doing and others at the hands of fear mongers and propaganda hounds who do not know anything but to fight for greed and attempt to bludgeon with lies for fear that their own inadequacies will come into question. Deflect and attack are their mottos of choice. This too at some point became Sen. Clinton’s biggest liability in my opinion as I watched her “throw the kitchen sink”, become frustrated with the hype that gave it life, and then settled back as KARMA came to right the situation time and time again.

I personally have nothing against Sen. Clinton personally. She is formidable in many ways and I do not begrudge her having gained the support of the many voters whom embrace her some to the point of fanaticism something that can be found in any candidate’s mass of supporters. But I did take note that every time Sen. Clinton decided she wanted to “take it there” and was egged on by the media, Bill, her supporters, etc. how I began to find myself less and less angry by her antics simply because I would tell myself…”Just wait…this is going to come back to bite Hillary in the behind.” And each and every time something that was said or done that was “below the belt” such was the outcome. Then came the blame and excuses on sexism, the media, etc. with no responsibility taken for the consequences of one’s own actions.

So for those Clinton supporters still bitter, still clinging to writing-in her name or planning on charging the convention with chants of Denver, or vowing to give the presidency to McCain out of spite against Obama personally without much regard for their own self-interests and that of their family and children as Democrats if they do just remember…KARMA.
Dems stress unity

McCain is too far right, Obama is too far left. Hillary was the moderate, and she got booted. The treatment she got from goobers like Matthews, who observed she was only a senator because her husband slept with some bimbo, was unconscionable. I'll likely vote McCain, even though I have voted for the democratic candidate for president since 1976, just because I think the way Obama's winning stinks. He pandered to the base to create seperation between he and Hillary regarding a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq that he knows is fiction. He pandered to the base to create seperation from Hillary regarding his intention to negotiate with the leaders of Iraq and now has Biden restating his position. He is the least qualified candidate, and his only credible claim to the nomination was his intention to change politics, to be transparent and honest. He's already failed that test. He has never challenged authority within the democratic party, and McCain has been all but thrown from his for his views, yet Obama is the change candidate. What a load. We'll see how the town hall meetings go, but boy will it be hard to hold my nose and vote for Barrack.

Dems stress unity

I am a voter without a party affiliation and will not vote for Obama. He is far too liberal and is backed by the liberal wing of the democratic party. This tells me that he will try to take this country too far to the left. He also, as I see it, stands to be indicted due to Rezco. He is a Chicago politician and is an intimate of the Daley machine. He has sidestepped issues instead of answering questions pertaining to those issus, he is only capable of answering those questions when reading from a script. This tells me that he is not to be trusted.
He sat in a church for 20 years along with his wife and children where the preacher taught hatred of other races. This shows a lack of good judgement.
His comments about white, rural America being bitter and clinging to their guns and religion as well as calling his grandmother a "typical white woman" show elitist and racist attitudes.
When he says that he was poor, he is flat out lying.
