McCain needs to include more than just pronouncements. He needs to say where the nuclear waste is going to go. You bring it up and the liberal's/progressives scream: "Danger, Danger Will Robinson!" based on nothing. Here are the facts, the reaction that produces the energy is easily controlled, there is no 'carbon footprint', we have to do something or we will be the dog wagged by the tail of OPEC forever!

Nuclear power is safe and efficient and is a viable alternative. Please note, safe and efficient means that you are cognizant of the laws of physics and follow them ( a concept that many liberals have difficulty with.)

We, as a nation, are between the rock and hard place, we have to find some alternative energy sources. 'Being green', while certaintly nice, is really exorbitant in terms of price (I live on the North Coast and know this from direct experience), drill off our coasts? Yet another viable alternative, however, the enviro-nut wing of the Democrats will have a seizure at the mere suggestion! Of, course none of them are interested in a job on an oil rig, bet you can find some good ol' boys who would 'step up' for the opportunity.

I read endless blather about Obama and his vision of change and the 'audacity of hope'...where is the meat and potatoes? Where is the plan? At least, McCain (who has his faults) is bringing it up, talking about it, letting people know, that 'hey, ya'll wake up and smell the coffee.'

I am not afraid of change, I am really afraid of empty oratory blinding people to the very real mess we have found ourselves in.

McCain talks nuclear, clean coal energy

Summer gas tax holiday, open up offshore drilling, I think I see a pattern and is called "pandering".

McCain talks nuclear, clean coal energy

McCain: a noun, a verb, and "Obama tax" – whether it's true or not. Oh, wait, I know, because MCCain may not have the best idea's on Earth, but at least he is offering some kind of help or solution to energy problems, instead of just a vague and general "idea". Obama is still just standing there, with no explanations, and he just keeps saying "change". That being said, I have always said on these blogs, I think Obama would make a fine President, but he really needs to get into detail about his idea's. He offers idea's all the time but doesn't elaborate on them. No one truly has any idea what he stands for or how all of these "changes" are going to take place. I am still not certain who I will vote for. I could go either way, but unless Obama can start explaining to me HOW he is going to bring about all this change I can't see voting for him.........yet.
