I think Mr. Rove hit it pretty well on the head. We've heard BO make plenty of sarcastic remarks, and we're supposed to look away. But, if somebody does it to him, He's insulted. The man is a fake and a fraud. He acts like he's above everybody else; the rules don't apply to him. Many have said the flip on public financing isn't a big deal. Maybe for some it isn't, for others of us it is because it's a matter of decency, morals, character when you and out and out break your promise.

I'm a Democrat, and if Obama is elected President, I will for the first time be proud of my country. I feel for the unemployed, for the underpaid. I don't feel it's my job as an individual to help those people out. I don't give to the church, because I don't believe in g*d. But I do feel it is the governments job to pay for people that can't or don't want to work. It's the governments job to provide free health care. It is the governments job to regulate every aspect of our lives. And it's the governments job to make certain that everyone is happy, except the rich. People that have high paying jobs, and own their own businesses are the lucky people in life. So what if they've worked 100 hours a week for years, that was their choice. They stole the money from the poor by having huge profit margins for their products and services. Those people are the ones that should pay for all these benefits. Barack Obama is just the man that will tax the money from the fortunate, and give it to the unfortunate. Barack can cut them checks for cash for all I care, those people deserve it.

That quote from Karl Rove is funny, especially considering that, for the majority of our great nation's history, Obama would've been the guy serving the martinis and cigarettes to Rove at the country club, if Obama was let in at all.

This kind of utter nonsense is why, despite any frustrations I might have with the Democratic Party, I cannot vote for most Republicans (back when he was a Republican, Lincoln Chafee would have been a very notable exception). They are simply too stupid, divisive, and just plain irritating for me to take anyone affiliated with that decaying party seriously.

In terms of the attack on U.S. soil benifitting McCain - that is the same kind of cold, political statement that was part of the undoing of Senator Clinton. Of course John McCain is a POW, so he (and his campaign) can say anything they want - the media has decided they don't have to be accountable for anything . . .

Sad that many people see everything that happens in terms of who would "benefit". Nobody benefits from an attack on America - here or anywhere else.
