We need more but with discrimanting republicans, we can rest assured of slow and painful process here.........Hopefully after the republicans bomb and kill more americans like they did on Sept 11, 2001 - or as a McCain adviser suggested as a way for McCain to get an advantage over Obama - that is if they can pull it off before the election ( the October Surprise), they will see the need to reward women better and more so equally, since thety wil certainly have less people willing to volunteer for eminent death or disability as has been the case for our beloved soilders coming from Iraq.

First of all, I don't know anything about Lt. Gen. Ann E. Dunwoody, but if she has earned and deserves the promotion (which I would imagine by her nomination that she has), then the more power to her an congratulations to her.

Second, I am dismayed by the posts from so many people under this tread. They show levels of sexism that I (of all people) am not accustomed to in these United States. Smacks of ignorance.
--And that isn't to say that there aren't reasonable arguments for limiting women's role in the military, but they ain't seen here.
