Intrestingly the professional analysts (tv and radio pundits) keep insisting that the VP is not what attracts the voters, just the presidential candidate. It seems to me that like so many other things in this election year, the VP will be more important than in the past. It seems to me that both of these individually strong candidates could make it or break it with their pick. I personally hope that John McCain picks Karl Rove. Biden explains why the whole whining about not being able to drill ANWR etc is such nonsense as clearly as can be. He didn't let Graham roll over him just by repeating the same talking point, all Graham had. Biden kept reminding him that the oil companies actually already hold plenty of leases they could be drilling right now but choose not to. Graham was reduced to a sheepish nervous smile.

Biden would be great getting the economic policy message out and great in the VP debate. He has foreign policy chops,too. And he seems to have gotten his motor mouth under control lately.
