I ask, because yesterday was the first time I noticed how old McCain looked. When he and Obama get side by side, the age factor will not be kind to McCain. I say this in a nice way. I just think it is in our nature to be more persuaded by something newer and more invigorating. The age gap is a big plus for Obama.

I don't understand how republicans are perceived as being tuff on terrorism when they can't capture the people responsible for the 911 attacks. In addition, 911 happened under the republican administration. It sounds to me as though they are weak on terrorism and use tough lanugage to say they can protect us, but their actions are not showing their tuffness. Where is Bin Laden? Why are we in Iraq? These are the questions the republicans need to answer.

I don't agree that a terrorist attack on the USA would be a benefit for the repugnant ones. Another attack would signal the utter failure of "War Lover" Bush's phony war on terror.

Why does the media pay any attention to that fruitcake Dobson? The guy is a constant liar. He lied about the Hate Crime bill saying it would inhibit the practicing of religion when all it did was make gay bashing illegal, not an integral part of religion.

Yeah offshore drilling would have very little real effect on oil and gas prices. By the time they would go online in over 5 years our energy situation will be much worse. Time to end the "Enron Energy" loophole and stop the speculators from ripping us all off.

Priceless that McCain is manipulating us 'psychologically'. The last thing we need right now are head games from the crazy guy.

Obama doesn't need to 'agree to town halls' with McCain. As the front runner, I prefer that he pursue any joint meeting on his own terms, he's earned that right.

Rove is irrelevant, the media enamorment is misplaced. What was it Bush said one time, "I'm in the business of repeating my message over and over". The republicans are being beat by a minority at their own game. Charlie Black is foaming at the mouth about it, obviously there will be verbal casualties and overspill. The main issue I have is that McCain shows a complete lack of character in dealing with his own advisors. Gramm and Black should be long gone. But he will keep them around to prop him up on the vast amount of topics he hasn't a clue about.

I do think it was a pretty big deal that McCain admitted the offshore drilling wouldn't provide immediate relief. The only "fruitcake interpretation" I find is that the evangelicals believe that McCain's choosing a so-called pro-life judge will result in over-turning Roe vs Wade. We already have a court with 7 republican appointees out of 9. They could have already over- turned it. They will not now and they never will in the future. We have had a republican court that stole an election from a democratic winner and handed it to the republican nominee. Not one republican has tried to take the issue back to the court. This is senseless - straight out lying by the republicans. They have a platform of "I am pro-life" and they never DO anything to change the courts except holler about pro-life judges and even that doesn't matter!

This is hypocrisy in its purest form.

You've unwittingly given a good example of what's wrong with the corporate media today: they admire an unscrupulous liar who was good at manipulating public opinion, as well as perverting the American justice system to take out political enemies like the former Democratic Governor of Alabama, Donald Seigelman, who was imprisoned for the same "crimes" that Republicans got away with all the time in his state.

Evidently, "journalists" admire Rove because many of them aspire to be as good at cynically manipulating public opinion as Rove is. Sad.

Number one Rove is like a weed that the media continues to water and fertilize, if you stop paying attention to him, he may just wither, dry up and blow away.
This also applies to any drivel that the mainstream media just will not let go of, again there are numerous events going on in our own country as well as the rest of the world that provide news worthy commentary. Stop attempting to enhance or manufacture the news, lets get back to the days of Cronkite, Murrow and the rest of the past greats. Save this type of nonsense for Hollywood Access and Extra.

Rove sounds like one of those guys who was always the geeky guy who is jealous of any guy who seems to be what Rove always wished he was. Cool.

Tall halls. the reason McShame wants those townhalls so badly is that he barely gets a roomful of people. He knows if Obama was there it would be an auditorium of people clamoring to get in.
McShame needs Obama to get an audience. Obama doesn't need McShame.

If we start drilling here and in 50 years later there's nothing left, what then. If we stop giving our children cars to drive to school (catch the bus) and stop buying them cars that waste so much fuel, then we can start to address these kinds of concerns. There are at least 1.5 new drivers in each family that's under the age of 18. Why do we ignored the reasons for the issues and yet keep trying to get more out of a dying world. We are so selfish to continue this same path of fuel usage. Just imagine how many kids are driving today!!!!! Become parent and Grand-parents again just say NO. If our children want to be treated as mature people, they must have some accountability as well..... What happen to bikes?
