So Gov. Kaine white collar felons like the Enron scum that ruined peoples futures should be allowed to vote when they get out of the slammer and some poor schmuck who robbed a gas station to feed kids or pay the bills shouldn't? I think there's more to this...maybe Governor Kaine knows Martha Stewart, maybe giving the select felons the right to vote allows them other rights, too. Guess I'm just skeptical but I'd bet there's something personal for the governor in this.

Hawaii became a state on August 21, 1959.

Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Having been born in the U.S. automatically makes anyone a U.S. citizen, regardless of his/her parents' citizenship status.
