There's two dynamics at play against one another. One is McCain is better known, so would tend to have the advantage in this early polling. The other is its a year in which the Democrats in all races are enjoying a tailwind.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Out of those two, we're seeing Obama holding an edge, and that's encouraging as seemingly he has a lot of room to grow - as people realize that maybe he isn't really a Manchurian Muslim or whatever.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But its early, early, early. A year ago no one was thinking gas prices would be a dominant issue.
