Going abroad will give Obama a chance to (re)introduce himself to heads of state and world leaders who are anxiously awaiting his Nov. victory (per press reports). He can impart his vision of where he will lead America and talk about the needs amd mutual interests of the countries he visits. It reinforces his premise that TALK not war or belligerance will play a large part of his foreign policy. World leaders will also see that he dosen't "do cowering", a recognition that he is a powerfull force for change in the violent world we live in.

There is another major site, I won't advertise for them here, that have a weekly straw poll. At the end of last week with almost 400,000 voting, it was McCain 2-1 over Obama. The new poll that started Fri is showing the same. Now, the demographics of that site might be skewed because more educated, younger folks would be using the internet. However, those are Obama supposed voters. So, who knows what any of these polls mean anymore. They're all pretty useless.
