He liked being a flyboy because it allowed him to lead a lifestyle, even though his poor performance at the Naval Academy did not support being trained as a pilot. He was an Admirals kid, and got the assignment. Then he crashed several planes and bitterly quit the navy once it became apparent he would never reach admiral himself, even after being a POW.
His character IS questionable and only by releasing ALL of his military record can he put this behind him

Obama calls Clark's remarks 'inartful'

"All Barack Obama has to do is tell his campaign surrogates to stop criticizing John McCain's record of service and this discussion would be over. "
-------------------------------------------------
Translation into English: All Obama has to do is stop criticizing McCain on ANYTHING so that he can win the election without having to work weekends.

What a joke! Obama dealt with the issue. Nobody cares anymore. Not only that, but he turned it right around by showing it to be just another one of these media-driven stories. And he's ABSOLUTELY right to say that this is NOTHING like the disgusting attacks on John Kerry in 2004. Anybody who really thinks that Wes Clark's comments are anything near what was said about Kerry (I don't recall anybody questioning McCain's patriotism the way the Swift Boaters did Kerry's) needs to go away; you're not helping your candidate or this country.

"I'm don't have anger problem; I have an idiot problem." ~ Hank Hill

Obama calls Clark's remarks 'inartful'

ONCE AGAIN, CLARK DID NOT ATTACK MCCAIN'S RECORD, I THING HE IS AFRAID THAT IF PEOPLE DO QUESTION HIS MILITARY RECORD THEY MAY FIND SOMETHING THERE THAT JOHN DOES NOT WANT ANY BODY TO FIND!!!

Obama calls Clark's remarks 'inartful'

It’s not Democrats that say your military service doesn’t qualify you to be President. Republicans made this abundantly clear in 2004 when they got two draft dodgers elected and attacked Kerry’s Vietnam service.
