At one time, I was for NAFTA, too, because I believed it would help poor countries rise to our standard of living. Over time, though, I've seen that it only helped big companies outsource American jobs to cheaper foreign workers. So, my view has changed. So has Obama's. That means he's actually THOUGHT about this issue.That's a good thing. And protectionism and isolationism were not responsible for the depression; the REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT AND HIS ADMINISTRATION AND POLICIES were the cause. A little protection right now might help keep American jobs in America, and a little isolation might keep American kids in military uniform in America, too.
Notice how Mccain only talks up NAFTA in OTHER countries, not in the good ole USofA, where American workers are being hurt by it?

And, if he was such a student of history he would realize that a large American presence in the Middle East would be a constant conflict. Once the followers have been steeped in that awhile, the leader starts testing their faith with trials to prove their devotion to see if they are blind enough. After Chiquita relized they were breaking U.S. laws, they then paid in cash! A Justice department indictment last year, had Chiquita paying $25 MILLION in FINES.

Charles BLACK, campaign advisor to McCain, (infamous quote "If terrorists attack the US, it benefits McCain's campaign!) was paid $80,000 for LOBBYING for CHIQUITA. BLACKS company also made $1.6 MILLION for LOBBYING for OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM, who's security arm was accused of bombing a COLOMBIAN village, killing 17 civilians.
LINDNER co-hosted a fundraiser LAST WEEK for MCCAIN, at $25,000. a PERSON. In the late 90's McCain promoted a deal for LINDNER in the Arizona TONTO National FOREST!

I don't trust a word that comes out of McCains mouth. He can't be trusted, nor can you trust that he'll follow through on his promises. He has changed his positions on most all of the important issues to secure the gop nomination. It seems that on his way to the nomination, he lost all his principles and convictions. Now he's just a doddering old man that can't defend his own positions, and spends all his time criticizing Obama. I personally don't care what he thinks of Obama - where does he stand on the issues! It's getting harder to tell every day.
