I got an idea for a shake-up. Have McCain step aside and let Romney take his place as the Nominee. Then Obama would realize defeating Hilary was simple, this just got alot tougher and would crumble.

Not overly happy, but he is better than Obama - McCain 08!

I have been a long time reader to the FR site, but this is my first time posting.

I have some questions that I would like someone to address:

1) Why is it that no one is addressing the fact congress rating is even lower than GWB's at 18% according to recent polls? Dems have had control of Congress for two years. I understand veto authority of the President having a significant impact on what Congress can do, but don't you think the rating would be higher than the PoTUS especially if it's run by the party that is NOT in the WH?

2) Personally I don't think either candidate is the best choice for America. However, why are so many people putting faith in someone who is preaching change, yet continues to practice politics the way it has been done for the past 60 years? On the flip side, JM is WAY out of line for attacking BO due to the issues he has flip-flopped on. McCain has done just as much flip-flopping, if not more.

3) Hillary Clinton made a comment several weeks ago in her concession speech about how there have only 3 terms in which the Democrats in the WH since in 40 years. Does it make sense that most Americans have "traditional (not necessarily conservative) views" on family and society in general? It seems like BO is moving to the left to make it seem he is more appealing to that main stream vote? His voting record in both IL and US Senate show he is about as far left as you can go. Does this bother Liberals who have seen him move more "Center" in the past few days?

4) The Republican party is in turmoil right now. JM is the person who is representing them and most don't like him. Is his decision to move more right going to help or hurt him in the long run? Will someone like Colin Powell or JC Watts on the Republican ticket move people towards him?

I am just trying to get some questions answered. I know who I am voting for in November, but I just want to try to get rational, non-emotional responses to some of the questions I have had for the past several weeks/months.

Hillcrats, PUMA, and repubs,

The above is all the GOP cares about in this campaign.

1- Trashing Obama

2- Planning their convention.

3- Picking a Veep

4- Raising money.

There is NO mention of crafting solutions for the problems facing the average American, or how to disseminate that message to the average voter.

This is at least the third time the McCain campaign has had a major shake-up.

McCain is not qualified to be POTUS.

Pro-McCain message? They have no pro-McCain message because McCain is wrong on every single issue the American people care about. He is representaive of almost every failed Bush policy. Their whole campaign is based on scaring the hell out of people, just like every other Republican campaign.

My take on McCain:

McCain’s advisors: The “G” spot of politics, The GOP trifecta:

Phil Gramm – Economic guru who brought us Mortgage crisis (USB) and his wife brought us the Enron Loophole (Exhorbitant Fuel Costs)
Lindsay Graham – Senator from GA, brings us irrelevant talking points about why his head is firmly up the McCain craphole – yet maintains his heterosexual position (on top, I assume)
Billy/Franklin Graham – oh wait, he would like to snuggle up to the religious right/evangelical voting bloc; but they refused to endorse him. Really charming how Franklin traveled to Chicago to be a part of Obama’s summit three weeks ago. (Doh!)

If this were a horse race, the bookie has L. Graham to Win, P. Gramm to Place and if only BF Graham would Show. I point this out because none of these surrogates have been particularly useful; but they appear to speak to McCain’s ‘strategy’ (play along, I know I am using the word loosely).

Okay, so the real reveal here - there is no strategy. Nothing to see folks, move along.

Yep they are in trouble. I just heard RUSHBO say that he figured out that the Mcsame military bashing by GEN. CLARK is a well organized attack by the OBAMA people. you think??. Pandora's box has been opened and Mcsame is worried to death because now the drive by media will start to focus on Mcsames military service before and after he was a POW. That little bit of history is something that will hilite Mcsames charecter and judgement. the end is near and Mcsame knows it, just look how they are scrambling.

There is no surprise here. McCain is falling further behind with each state poll. The real question is will "musical chairs" in the campaign headquarters make a difference. The truth is...it won't make a difference. Why? Because John is still the candidate and he will continue to forget, fumble, flip-flop. (Can't think of other words beginning with "f") With John, what you see is what there is.

Some, like myself are seeing signs of dementia. Usually onset comes later. But the trauma of a POW could make a difference. The signs are there. Media, keep an eye on this possibility.

But I heard somewhere that he graduated from Annapolis at the head of his class? And also, he an ace pilot wasn't he?

So they brought in a guy to better manage the daily pro-McCain/anti-Obama message.

The question voters should be asking is why they feel a need to put out anti messages at all? Same question goes for the Obama campaign.

As voters we get the campaigns we deserve. The optimal model would be for each campaign to give us their best shots at why we should vote for them. Voters then fuze and compare that information for themselves.

But more often than not, they give us arguments for voting against the other guy. We should demand better, and punish those campaigns who insist on telling us why to vote against anything.
