Interesting. Biden would be a great running mate - with one possible exception: his mouth.

Don't get me wrong, I love Joe Biden. He calls 'em like he sees 'em. However, that can get him into trouble sometimes.

But, he does bring some fantastic Senate experience with him. Foreign Relations Committee et. al.

What a contrast between the Democrat and Republican women. Carly has run major corportations. She's been successful, and has also failed, running large businesses and confronting real world issues. Hillary has been in government nearly all her life. She had a couple of jobs in the private sector for which she's only known as being corrupt. Hillary has no success stories, and has just made it on her husbands name recognition and the Democrats urges to have a "star" in office. The contrast between Carly and Hillary is stark.

She was, for all intents and purposes, dismissed as CEO of Hewlett-Packard by their board of directors in 2005.

How did investors greet this news? The stock gained 6.9% the day her departure was announced after being up as high as 10% during that day. Said one analyst, "The stock is up a bit on the fact that nobody liked Carly's leadership all that much. The Street had lost all faith in her and the market's hope is that anyone will be better."

Why are they discussing Hillary's role at the convention? Is this a common practise among candidates before a convention? It seems that she should not have any role at the convention. She lost and she should not be given any more special treatment than the other candidates who ran and lost. Her supporters can get over it.

Biden is a solid VP choice, without Webb and Strickland....other choices come down to State votes or pushing the Change Message (which, I don't think Obama needs any help pushing the change message).
Other international and government experience choices have some obvious flaws....who would've thought that Biden would have the least of all detriments?

BIDEN will be selected as VP.

His greatest attribute is that he will bring with him a plan for Iraq that received 75 votes in the Senate. It will be very comforting to the American electorate if an OBAMA/BIDEN administration will bring an immediate plan of action to scale down troops. Additionally, it will be difficult for the 25 Republican Senators who voted for the plan to change their votes.

Further, the new foreign policy/terror front is going to be Afghanistan/Pakistan. BIDEN knows the current situation and players far better than McCAIN and will be able to help OBAMA take the issue of national security from McCAIN.
Also, all the fuss McCAIN tries to make about OBAMA not holding a single meeting of his Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee, well BIDEN chairs the committee and can speak to the issue and neutralize it.

BIDEN kept neutral after withdrawing from the race, not endorsing OBAMA or CLINTON during the primaries. For those Hillary voters who touted experience, BIDEN is a VP choice that does not offend.

I support OBAMA completely but, I would feel infinitely better about my vote (not just to win the Presidency but to govern the country) if BIDEN is on the ticket and a member of the administration.

Why are we catering to the Clintons?? Why do people continue to give her special treatment. Trying so hard not to hurt her feelings. The primary has ended and whether people like it or not, HILLARY CLINTON LOST! People need to accept that fact and move on. Enough of the threats to vote for McCain - If that's what Hillary's supporters want to do - go for it and show everyone just how ignorant you really are.

It's time for the Clinton backers to grow up and face reality. CLINTON LOST and IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! Nor will she be Obama's VP, it just isn't going to happen.
