If Pawlenty is chosen based upon his hair, what does the future hold for Bill Richardson? Biden's looking a little shaggy too...

I like Pawlenty, though. Because I do, and because he may represent the future Republican brand, I don't think he'll be the veepchoice. My guess is that McCain chooses someone who's more of an idealogue.

Or the ex-governor of Mass, Guy Smiley.

McCain isn't even a natural born citizen but he's running for POTUS. Why does everything he says/does get fluffed over? If BO wasn't a natural born citizen you guys would be all over him like stink on you know what. Pawlenty thinks McC would have a lot of issues to face as POTUS then I have to ask, wouldn't Obama have the same issues?

Vote Republican, and you'll get new exploration and drilling/mining for additional petrol resources, you'll get 50-200 new nuclear plants in the next 10 years, you'll get dozens of new refineries, you'll get private industry researching for real alternative energy sources, and you'll get lower prices at the pump.

Vote Democrat, and you'll get a $300 rebate check along with AlGore blowing smoke up your back side. Be sure to not spend the entire rebate all in one place.

Senator McCain may see this as one of his best hopes to break through in the upper midwest.

I think Minnesota is solid in the Dem column. Which, if correct, would mean that Pawlenty didn't add anything in terms of electoral votes to the equation.

I think he's got to go in a different direction. But then again, he's the nominee, so let's see who he chooses.

This is an uninformed, rote talking point. Obama has a clear record in Illinois of working across party lines and in DC with veterans issues.

I give the repubs props for staying on the seven talking points. Unlike our fragmented attempts to expand on our talking points - they single mindedly repeat whatever the point is - regardless of it's factual content. Very disciplined. Inaccurate and dishonest; but disciplined.

I don't see why McCain would put Pawlenty on the ticket, or even have him under consideration. He's not exactly Mr. Popular in Minnesota, he doesn't bring any state/regional help, and the bridge disaster (fair or not) is going to be thrown back at him, especially if the debate ever moves to infrastructure (it may not be sexy nationally, but I know for a fact that it's a big deal to Minnesotans, as well as most Canadian border states).

And that mullet thing just seals the deal.

“It maybe that he just had an off day or an off moment,” he said. “But his comments were not something that Senator McCain agrees with. They’re not something that I agree with for sure.”

Unfortunately, there are many, many instances of McCain stating that on the economy, Phil Gramm speaks for him and is the architect of the McCain economic policy. They can cringe all they want but this is the gift that will keep on giving.

Pawlenty's said on Face the Nation that owners of stocks held in 401k and IRA accounts pay the capital gains tax.

This is flat out not true. (They pay no tax if it is a Roth IRA or 401k and the higher earned income tax rates if it not.)

Did he say that to confuse the American voter? Not good.

Did he say that because he is ignorant of such a simple tax concept? Not good.

I believe Obamas record in Chicago should be looked at to show us what he will attempt with the country. He gave his friends etc.Rezko private contracts in houseing. Instead of public money . (Like his turn around on public camp. money he said he would take)It wasnt just Rezko either. Look at this slum nesr his mnsion(rezko). 11 buildings closed and more should be.Rezko got millions of dollars and Obama got funds raised by him but the buildings got nothing. Infested no water or heat and he stands and talks about black men doing there duty. When ask about this slum he didnt know. Ask about Wright hate America speaches -He didnt know.Ask about his votes there-he hit wrong button. He prob was thinking about his next jump in politics.This is not the judgement or truth I can be comfortable with .Can you really??FISA<NAFTA IRAQ ????
