Now the Taliban has taken over that area and the local town. Wake up people, the danger to America in the middle east is coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Obama vs. McCain: Security duel

Ummm... isn't it strange that Bush and McCain are now both following the leads of Obama with respect to talking to the Iranians and taking a closer look at Afghanistan?? Interesting that the C-in-C and the old war hero are following the lead of the young and inexperienced junior senator from Illinois!!

Obama vs. McCain: Security duel

Amazing how McCain smoothely took up what Obama has been saying for months yesterday re Afghanistan...

Obama vs. McCain: Security duel

If the Iraq occupation was initiated under false pretenses, there never was a legitimate reason for killing so many people. The correct thing to do would be to get out. Afganistan is a country we attacked because they provided land for training (alleged) the 9/11 terrirists. We as a nation have become weaker fighting unecessary conflicts. The bush policy was flawed from the start. A smart person knows when the effort being expended cost more than what the desired results could be. We have more pressing issues here at home with the economy, health care and corruption in the administration. The war was only a distraction while our economy was being sacked.

Obama vs. McCain: Security duel

There is NO ONE to surrender to, because the country is made up of many, many groups, sub-fations and other competing gangs of armed lunatics, who will go after each other hammer and tongs, whether we're there or not.
