I guess this is Bush's way of insuring he gets the agreement which allows US troops to stay in the country beyond the end of the year without really setting a time table for withdrawal. This gives Maliki fodder to calm his detractors and probably provides a way for the agreement to be signed by both sides by the end of July as Bush wanted. President Bush has always said Iraq's opinion would be taken into consideration when it came to troop withdrawals in Iraq, but not if it meant compromising security in the area.

This has nothing to do with Barack Obama. This has everything to do with a successful surge of troops to help stablize a region. Even liberals in the media agree with that point. Those troops now need to be turned to Afghanistan to help on that front.

One thing about the President. He has never waivered from his decision, which is more than what you can say for, quite frankly, either candidate.

All BO has done is talk talk talk. He is turning a tour of the middle east into a political agenda instead of going quietly without fanfaire. This man looks more and more like a "typical politician" every day.
