Gore couldn't afford the pay cut if he worked in any Obama administration. He stands to make billions from his "Green" companies if the government ever decides to subsidize alternative energy. Rather then Gore working for Obama, Obama would be working for Gore. Al is nothing more then yet another lobbyist.

As gas prices go higher, I suspect there will be some deals made about opening up ANWR and a few other places. The liberals better hope the single mom with the three kids who can't afford gasoline right now will still vote for them in November. A sad state of affairs when Nancy pelosi is telling people they have to choose between their jobs and gasoline....

Lieberman is completely full of it. Just last week (article on First Read - July 15th) "Lieberman Attacks Obama's Principles".

Give me a break. He is so cozy with McCain, it's embarassing. Didn't he have a comment earlier this year wherein he described personally checking McCain's bearings. True colon vision from Lieberman. At least, I assume that's what he saw, given my perception of where his head has been at.

Jerry Corpus Christi: Just another knuckleheaded conservative. The Democrats in Connecticut voted against Joe Lieberman in the primary because he was not representing Democrat interests as a Senator. He got back in because a large number on Republicans voted for him as an Independent. We will never accept him as a anything but a turncoat. You are all welcome to him. Come November he will be irrelevent.

Didn't Zell Miller actually switch parties? If he did, then he has done more that Lieberman. I guess that means that Lieberman isn't going to be V.P.... Or does it? In the rare chance that McCain gets elected, I can see Lieberman being Sec. of Defense.

Jerry -- Nancy Pelosi isn't telling people to choose their job or their car. It is a false arugement. It is the idea that people should be more responsible in the way they drive and what they drive. It is just plain foolish to continue using oil the way we do. No matter where we start drilling, it will take years to get a good amount flowing and the refinery capacity to make it into gasoline.

I say go ahead Joe. Endorse whomever you want. You have zero credibility with Democrats. The Republicans hate you. Even in Connecticut, your approval ratings are in freefall.

All in all, I'd say the best thing for Barack Obama is for McCain to feature Lieberman as prominently as possible.

Actually that's not totally true...The Lieberman HQ's "begged" for Senator Obama to come to CT and campaign with Joe. Senator Obama instead, only Endorsed Lieberman in the Democratic Primary, and never truely went on the campaign trail with him.

When Joey lost in the Democratic Primary election, Senator Obama then endorsed Ned Lamont in the General Election.

Obama could do to make me vote for him. Socialism is not a party I want to live under and that is what Obama is offering.

Pelosi would be a good choice for Obama. Two inepts on the same ticket. The audacity of both of them defies logic.
