80% of the people that asked for a spot didn't get one. Just because Ryan Lizza didn't get a seat doesn't mean it's revenge. There is no proof of it, and none is even being offered by the critics. The only thing being offered is poor journalism.

Obama is soooooo incoherient when he is off script. When a reporter, who was actually doing his job, was going to ask Obama about The Surge and the postitive effects it has had, Obama wouldn't even let the reporter (T.Moran-ABC) ask the question. A few minutes later, and after lots of hand-waving, stuttering, and stammering by Obama, he (Obama) still was totally incoherient.

This trip has been the best PR Dems could have hoped for. He looks Presidential, because he IS Presidential. Get used to it, he's our next POTUS and I couldn't be more proud!

I watched some footage of Obama this morning on the NYT website. Unfortunately, I had to watch with the sound off 'cause I am at work. But it was interesting to see how still his body is, no nervous jiggling or jumpiness. He moves with a reassuring authority. As someone noted yesterday, its remarkable to see all the people grinning around him. I saw a huge soldier with a gun actually fidgeting with impatience waiting for his turn to speak to Obama. That was amazing to see, as usually soldiers look like they want to be anywhere else but meeting the politicians. I turned on the morning shows this am, hoping to see Obama's trip WITH sound, but all they had were stories about fish pedicures.

The Holy Scriptures say that G-D helps those who help themselves, and that HE will not improve a condition of a people unless they do what they can to solve what is troubling their situation.

Obama is right to tell the Iraqi people that they must take reponsibility for the maintainance of their freedom from Saddam, or any other oppressive factions that may arise after we have redeployed out of their country.

As a sovereign nation, they have to accept the responsibilities that that entails. They should be proud, brave, and eager to do so. We had their backs, and captured Saddam. However, our focus needs to return to our primary agenda. American saftey, and prosperity.

It's time for the to Iraqis to either sink, or swim.

We did it. The Founding Fathers lead us to freedom. Maliki, and his ilk need to stand strong, and speak power, and confidence to their people.

McCain says the surge has worked, but we can't leave because everything could break down if we do. Well Americans are not willing to endlessly bleed, and borrow for Iraqi's pursuit of happiness.

Obama understands that often times, a simple conversation can go a long ways toward resolving things.

When Obama met with the Sunni tribal leaders it signaled a dramatic difference to everyone in the world.

Regardless of where we are from, we do not like to be told what to do. The feeling has been that Bush (and now McCain) refuse to talk with anyone that doesn't do what they tell them.

Being from Wisconsin, I've watched the Packers management and Brett Favre become angry with each other. Insiders have reported that the two sides have not sat down together and talked.

Heck, anyone who's married knows that communication is the key to a successful marriage. The same things hold true for raising children. Being involved in our children's lives can prevent serious problems down the road.

It's amazing how the Rtepublicans are usug Obaam ato drive a racial and political wedge between blacks and whites.

Maybe those that are not white will eventually be pushed into a corner and they will have to re-evaluate their loyalties...... Obviously, the Republicans have opened the door to have Osama be someone we can compare ourselves to...If they can compare thier fellow senator to Osama, who is to say that they can not compare us to him.....

On the one hand, they have a candidate who is a supposed "war hero" who was so far down in his Naval class, that daddy admiral had to get him his job as fighter pilot; a supposed "foreign policy expert" who thinks Iraq borders Pakistan, ans who doesn't know the difference between the Sunnis and Shi'ites. On the other hand, they have a intellectually challenged minion whose main economic adviser calls Americans "whiners" and states the economic crisis is "psychological".

Operative word here is FORMER. It's former because Geroge Bush stuck to the plan of winning in Iraq. If Bush didn't, then Obama would playing Duck and Cover in the region, and negotiating with local terrorist groups rather then terrorist fighters.

The real operative word here is READ. Had you read further, you would have noticed that this was also part of yesterday's news in that many tribal sheiks uprooted extremists in a process they started LAST YEAR. This had nothing to do with Bush policy or even our troops or our strategy. These locals pushed out the extremists who were emboldened to come into Iraq looking to fight and kill Americans.

Let's face it friends - Obama is awesome and he is proving it on his international trip. The man is smart, level headed, and the best thing ot happen to our country in 100 years.
