If you contrast Obama’s statement with what Bush said in one press conference that he as The President doesn’t have a magic wand; well true Bush can wave Good-Bye to his stubborn stance to Iraq’s sovereignty.
Obama's press conference in Jordan

gg fl [WE ALL WATCHED,]

I didn't watch. The hypocrisy is off the charts.

He said both sides need to look in the mirror. Then he gave an example of what each might see. The Palestinians, he said, need to deal with their internal conflict (we know that means form the govt the US and Israel will allow, ie, democracy is window dressing, Hamas may not win, despite the votes) and then he went on to Israel. Thing is, I cant recall what he said they would see, only that whatever he said, it didnt sound like anything ... which is why I cant recall it, I guess.

Anyone recall what Israel ought to see in the mirror, according to Obama?

Obama's press conference in Jordan

I have to say that I am very surprised at Andrea Mitchell's apparent bias on this Obama trip. It is in the tone of her voice and the words she chooses. Granted, she prefers the fact that McCain is more of a peer to her, however, that doesn't mean it is ok to dismiss McCain's tripping over nouns or geographical locations on a regular basis, such as the border between Iraq and Pakistan - which is non-existant. Your deference is showing.
As for the Obama-rama - who created this? the Dept of Defense did all the planning and filming while in Afghanistan and Iraq - not the national media. So get over your little selves.

Obama's press conference in Jordan

Matt Mikens I am aware that our army is all volunteer . . . but that does not give this president the right to 'spend' the lives of some of the brightest that the next generation has to offer . . . for Ideology, Profiteering and pseudo-christian fundamentalism!

Maybe you should take the time to read the bio's of some of the fallen.

You understand the pain when a daughter who was double majoring in chemistry and physics with a 4.0 GPA and having earned a full scholarship to an ivy league school . . . sent back home within a month of going there!

You try dampening the rage when you can deduce for yourself that you government LIED to you and now your ONLY CHILD is gone!!

Try that on guys! Try that hat on Mikens. When you're done pass it to McCain!!

Obama's press conference in Jordan

Bravo, Senator Obama.
