Kaine's incompetence here is stunning: He has told people that he is being seriously considered by the Obama campaign, but it's unprofessional to do that. The professional thing to do is to decline to discuss anything about this and to state clearly that all of the campaign's discussions on this are confidential -- period.

I would be shocked if Obama hasn't crossed Kaine off the list of prospects, for this reason if for none other: Kaine doesn't know how to keep a secret, if there's a secret to keep -- Kaine is incompetent.

There is need to play a clean campaign but also need to make some points (3) clear.
1-about 100 years..
The present govern in Iraq is the third and next year will be the fourth. How long American people going to paid for the reconciliation in Iraq when we have our own natural disasters here at home and we are fund to take care of our people?
1-b Make clear that the reason to go to Iraq war become an issue in this campaign.

2- the notion of tax cut Republican claim.
What means getting artificial tax cut when at the same time the premium of heath care go up, the gas go up and fees and food go up. If the finality of the tax cut is to put more money in our hand the lack of leadership and the growth of special interest make that be more psychology than real saving.

3-Please you SHOULD fortify emphasis on the Timing for:

3Aa-please explains the timing; when did you start to warn about the gas issue. And I suspected that was 8 months before McCain came up with $300M gift card for the battery. The time is the real issue

3Ab. you need to explain in a detail between short and long-term strategy offer by you why the one from McCain is an ineffective. The more detail you do the better off you are. It is not enough to be right you need to sell to American people at any level of education that you are right.

4- McCain is flip flop on Social security tax (everything is on the table imply tax increase) and that is what first Bush did. Please that has to be an issue. I know you want to run a clean campaign but if you keep defending you may not get a K O.

By LetsBeReasonable "Hmmm...born in Minnesota, attended college in Missouri, and serves as governor of Virginia - that's a swing state Trifecta! Harvard grad, civil rights lawyer, taught legal ethics, supports pre-kindergarten education, and takes a centrist (pragmatic) stance on fiscal policy, death penalty, gay marriage, and gun control. Draws votes from Republican leaning VA exurbs. Sounds like a pretty good match to me...all except for the "pro-life" footing - that may take the lustre off a bit".

He does bring the hispanic vote to the table to prolly 80%. Not because he speaks the language, but because he can relate culturally. he's lived the life, and his faith matters a lot to these folks. But yeah, his thin resume would be a potential setback.
Kaine's position as governor of a state the Obama campaign hopes to make a key battleground and his background as a Spanish-speaking former Catholic missionary and civil rights lawyer make him a strong potential pick.

Kaine could serve as ambassador, his proponents say, to four key groups: Virginians, Catholics, working-class white voters, and Hispanics. (Kaine can be seen in one YouTube video endorsing Obama in proficient Spanish.)

Did it dawn on the pundits...that you are questioning the wrong person? If you want to know who the VP will be, ask Obama. Think about it...He can't say anything at the press conference. If he did, he would not be considered. Huffington Post has reduced the number to 3: Kaine, Bayh, and Biden. Obama will interview all three. This is not a telephone decision. Then he will wait untileither the press goes crazy or McCain does something to get good press, then the Obama camp will step on McCain's news with news of their own. For all you Biden supporters out there, it ain't over yet. My bet is still on Biden. Obama is a student of history and Lincoln is one of his favorite Presidents. Lincoln put most of the people who ran against him in a cabinet position or VP.

"John McCain's new ad is dishonest and shameful, and I say that as the former Chief of Medical Operations. Senators Hagel and Reed confirmed to Bob Schieffer yesterday that Senator Obama visited the Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad as a part of their CODEL, with no media present.

"In Germany, Senator Obama made the right decision to respect wounded troops, and the doctors and nurses doing crucial and time-sensitive work, by not making a visit that was characterized as a campaign event by the Pentagon. Has the Obama team been testing Gov. Kaine much? I don't remember ever hearing him as a surrogate, and that, in my opinion, is what Obama needs the most. I still say, believe it or not, that Obama's greatest weakness is not his understanding of foreign or domestic concerns--surely that is apparent. No, his biggest weakness is ironically his ability to communicate. Certainly, he can give an amazing speech (or several). He needs somebody who can help him to honestly connect with voters, bring down the lofty rhetoric and take his message home in a simple, concise, non-Harvard manner.

My personal favs, because it would show Obama is honest about changing things, might be a Hagel, Bloomberg, Biden--all pretty straight-shooting honest guys.
