I find this hilarious -- no actually sad. We are such an uneducated electorate.

John McCain and campaign has us, and the media, like putty in his hands. All McCain was waiting for was an "in" to use this because he knows the American people just love this sort of sensationalism. Who cares about the real problems facing us? That is not what gets a person elected. Race, "swift boating", etc, are what gets people elected. And McCain knows it. And he is playing us for fools brilliantly.

Obama is right. He wasn't playing the race card. He was playing the truth card. He is different period! But McCain, knowing how easily we are influenced by hot button topics, pounced on it. And it worked.

51,000 people lose their jobs in July and this is what the focus is. Sad, indeed!

You bet. I would love $1,000 in free money. It would help supplement the millions I make at my beer distributorship. It might add to my monthly Vets Disability check I receive after spending three tours in Nam and two years in the VA for defending you’re a--. I could even send a few bucks to my sons who have been in Iraq and Afghanistan the last four years defending you’re a--. Or I could really waste it and give it to my neighbor who has four kids and just lost his job because his company moved overseas. Then again I just might stick it in the bank. But I would have to do that on Friday as I work 10 hours a day and the banks are not open on Saturday but stay open till 6:00 PM on Friday. My car is kind of crappy though because I have to use all hand controls and it is getting old so I would have to hurry to beat the traffic on Friday. Yeap. I sure like free rides. No contributions to this country. My sons are lazy too. Have no commitment to this country or your safety and freedom at all. Hey Rachel, screw you!

I love it that people are talking about Obama's following as a "cult". Here's a little hint:

YOU HAVE TO HAVE A FOLLOWING TO BE A LEADER/PRESIDENT!

As for being a "cult," I fail to see it. I'm not drinking kool-aid, I understand the implications, but I just flat out don't see it. If I want to stand behind my candidate and feel like his positions are the right ones to have, it doesn't mean I'm following him off a cliff. I'm using my reasoned judgment. There is nothing wrong with that.

Oh, one last thing: I'd rather have my thirst for change band me together with like-minded individuals than my thirst for hate, which is EXACTLY what's happening on the other side of the fence.

PUMAs, NotFallingInLine, McCain's commercials, J Merle, whoever... you're all haters, plain and simple. At least by supporting Obama, I'm a part of something that means more than a lynch mob.

Please Someone STOP this madness, this is the most disappointing week we have had in Politics, as a week that saw one company ALONE make over 11 billion dollars a week where 51,000 people lost jobs this past month, but hey lets let the Cranky Ol guy get his point across that he knows nothing about whats going on in this country and can only throw out terribly disturbing ad's one after another and then saying how PROUD he is of these ads and talks condescending to anyone that questions his motive's. This whole kerfuffle is based on implausible logic: that the race card will inform people that Obama is black and/or remind them that they are
racist. Common sense rejects both possibilities, and there is no other motivation for the race card -- if it is a race card -- that your humble servant can think of.
