He has not fooled anyone at the Urban League, the NAACP or anywhere else. If I were a donor of his I would be asking for a refund of my contributions for the two latest ads he has produced and run. As a chrisitian, I must forgive him and pray for him because the last one was blasphemy. He should ask for forgiveness himself.

I think the choice is clear. A winner does not have to make themself look good by trying to make the other guy look bad. It even compounds it when the charges are false and make light of someone's faith. We live in a country where everyone's faith is a free choice that should be respected and honored. That is the beginning of how this country was founded and is the basis of our patriotism.

What I've never understood is that Republicans say they're for smaller government and then allow their president to wage the costliest war in our history and hiding the cost in mounting budget deficits, thereby making this Administration the largest user of government money ever. I guess what I really don't understand is why so-called Republicans aren't outraged at this hypocrisy. To turn a huge surplus into a huge debt in less than a decade is not any Republican value I've ever heard of. And yet the Republican congress remains in lockstep behind this president, like lemmings off a cliff.

Family values now means mounting debt and kids who can't afford college. Skyrocketing oil prices from an oilman seems a bit cozy, as families have to choose between buying food and putting gas in the tank to get to work and Exxon pockets $11 billion. Don't need a math degree to figure that one out.

Our cities are a precious resource. A vital inner city solves traffic and crime issues, brings in new business and pride in community. It has to be one of the biggest returns ever on money spent. Government needs to make education available to all because an educated child raised with respect for his surroundings will give back to his community many times over.

Vouchers are absolutely not the answer. The answer is what it always has been: Hold all schools to the same standards! Right now, at least in my state, funds to schools are allocated according to the price of the house and property tax collected in a given neighborhood. So if you can afford an expensive house your school will get more money. What does this mean? The rich children get better schools and the poor children get less funds and poorer schools. Who needs better schools more? The poorer neighborhood, that's who!
This is a red state. AZ. What is democratic about that? Nothing. Vouchers cannot be given to every student. Who is going to decide who gets a voucher and who doesn't? Why are children from other countries better educated than American Children?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it is our "Every state and district for themselves" system.
Why are any schools "failing"? America has the biggest drop out rate. If any one issue needs Government attention it is this one. One standard for all schools. Divided equally.

Education is all about attitude, not lack of resources. Imagine if we celebrate an 'A' as we celebrate a touchdown, wouldn't we want to score more A's?

The burden of changing our attitude lies not with the politicians but us common folks. Like everything else, we need a grassroot movement to place education as THE solution to our social, economical and environmental issues. If all of us are educated enough, we would not fall into the mortgage traps. If all of us are educated enough, we would question before starting any war. If we are educated enough, we would do a better job of controlling the abuse of our environment.

It's funny how people complaint that Obama is too educated (therefore, too elite) to win the election. Instead of listening the sound bites, why aren't people educated enough to understand the issues? There is no excuse to be ignorant. Politician don't want everyone to be educated so they can control us. By creating a smaller class of educated individual, it allows them to stay in power though sound bites and misleading ads.

If we want real change, let's start by declaring war on ignorance. Let's set a national holiday for education 1st Tuesday of September. On this holiday, all students in all cities, counties, regions, would parade with their family, walking to school. We would madates all business in USA must donate 5 - 10% of their profit towards education - including paid time off for their employees to attend school functions. If employees do not have any school age children, they are allow to take paid leaves to provide supplimental education for local schools. It defeats some of the efforts of volunteerism but getting everyday people involve in edcuation is a must. We have fallen too far behind in our education effort and drastic measures must be taken.

One candidate graduated at the bottom of his class and is running a campaign whose major strategy is to confuse people, to exploit their prejudices and lead them to inaccurate conclusions with faulty logic. I wonder which one we should trust on education?

In case you're not sure, vouchers are a fool-proof recipe for increasing inequality in education. Public funds, instead of financing public schools, would go to private schools. Rich parents could add taxpayers' money to the money they already spend on private schools to send their children to the best schools money could buy. The rest of us could add the voucher money to zilch and see what kind of private schools are available for that price. McCain, with his complete lack of expertise in education rivaled only by his complete confidence in his baseless opinions on the subject, has expressed disdain for the credentialing process, so one can only imagine the standards that private schools would have to meet to qualify for taxpayer money in a McCain system.
