This is why I have decided to vote for Bob Barr, partly. It is also because McCain is using stupid political ads to beat Obama and it's not going to work and people do not like it. McCain's problem is that he clutches if it looks like he is actually in the running. We saw this in 2000 after New Hampshire and before South Carolina. At the time, I wondered where the openness had gone.

He does not seem to have the self confidence to keep going in an environment where a misstep could cost him the presidency.

My take is that this timidity in combination with his seemingly mindless bravado makes a very very dangerous combination in a president, not to mention the confusion.

See, John McCain's problem is that he's allowing aides to segment people by demographics. The truth is, McCain's views on immigration are more in line with the Democratic Party than the Republicans. And that's been a major sticking point. I'm not entirely certain that it's politically wise for McCain to court Latinos when many Republicans still haven't forgiven him for being an immigration moderate.

I hope that folks will see McCain as he is NOW and not as he WAS!! He is not a maverick—just confused and inconsistent.

It seems that folks are having a rough time getting around that concept. And he is also much older now.

When Obama starting limiting press access, he was VILIFIED by the MSM. I particularly remember how angry Andrea Mitchell was when journalists were not allowed access to Obama in the Middle East. Here was a reporter visibly angry onscreen about the military video and photo ops.

McCain has now also limited press availability. Yet, it's merely reported. I will be anxious to see if he is also tarred and feathered in the media for refusing as much access to the press like Obama was.
