So now, Georgia is wondering where their new allies are.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The simple fact is we aren't going to war against Russia over this. And more sophisticated and honest diplomatic stance never would have created a false impression in the minds of the Georgians to the contrary.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;And it goes back to a larger mistake. Russia is down, but that doesn't mean they are going to like being kicked. Why in the world would we be trying to encircle Russia now?
