As times roll forward one most ask themselves this all important question...

Is there a leadership quality in either candidates that will best take the nation forward into the next confusioning and unsure times..?

Look to the things that either candidate has done..not just in Senate of the United States but as Mr. Miyagi in "Karate Kid" said, " whole life"..

Acheive the balance through the difficulties this nation will certainly face since before WWII....

Are we, do we, face a time where choice will be a blind cast into our future boding no answer on who will lead this country........?

Choice should NOT be the a matter of picking the lesser of two evils either...

Can we invest our believe there will be good and strong answers that the country always has come out on top through geo-political answers; through policing the world and it's problems alone?....but we should ask a few more questions...
Is this the right the direction that summarily leads to and gives the best future to all Americans.
Who pays in the long run? Are a privation of justice, honesty with honor ripped from our bosom shadowed by evil laughing to satisfy the the greed of corporate America and government security..
Will the few still lead the many to this never ending drought...?
People of America WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!

End the Injustice that has been duly assigned.
Giving our best to others should not come at the expense of losing our own freedoms...Those best ideas that this country should be representing unto others by sacrifice of our own freedoms is not a tragedy of war; it is travesty of our own life, liberty and pursuits there of including happiness...

Protecting ourselves is not the same as losing our personal freedoms. Anyone that tells you that lie believes we're not worthy to be Americans.
Moving this nation forward not backwards by taking away the things the United States Constitution has given to all citizens not only underminds the citizens of this country but it gives fuel to the enemy that they are winning. They have made us change our lives..we are not as strong as we say we are...

Let's take our voice into the ballot that sends the strongest message we can give the world...
Let's be that silent army of voters that see the way things are moving and demand change.....change that we can believe in..end the Washington corruption...
put the military where is does the most good...
Bring home the men and women that have given so we can give to them a future without war and death...
Move this country forward...without foreign oil..without WallStreet Enroneers..without bad loan practices..
without loss of our personal freedoms..without losing law and order...with solving HealthCare of our citizens...with securing our children's future with better schools and by improving opportunities for all Americans...

I have serious concerns about the huge increase in Dem voter registration being challenged by the Rethuglicans. Something sinister happened in Florida in 2000 and the Repubs will stoop low enough again to try to derail the brilliant voter registration strategy of Team Obama. It is not beyond the realm of reality for the Repubs to try to dump vast numbers of legit new registrations in order to shape the outcome. They can't run on the issues so they employ Karl Rovian tactics to steal elections.

But NOT THIS TIME. My goal is to register as many new voters in Virginia as I possibly can.

BTW, hurry home Sen. Obama, it has been very boring without your presence on the campaign trail.

Given some of the reported voter suppression at caucuses by Obama team and reports of voter fraud in the primary, I believe the Repubs have a concern and right to verify the registrations. We already have a candidate who got there through media adulation and their covering up of Edwards' affair. Let's make sure if he's elected President that it is all above board.

Voter fraud? Heaven forfend! No one really believes that Democrats would commit voter fraud, do they? I just brought voter registration forms to a friend in a hospice in New York, and he asked how the registrar would know he was who he said he was- I told him that they must take it on faith. In Chicago, the dead rise to vote; in California, non-citizens vote; Isuppose fraud will be rampant throughout the country this time. God help us all.

Are the Republicans really that surprised to see that a large majority of people are registering as Democrats. No one wants to be a member of a tired old party whose nominee is so old he's showing signs of Alzheimers and wearing Depends and yellow dentures; a politician who had affairs just like John Edwards did.

People don't want the same old George Bush policies which is what we'll get with McCain as president.

The new people registered to vote for the Democrats could very well make a difference between success or failure for Obama in November. Never before has a candidate inspired more people to get involved and his volunteers are registering thousands of new voters! Hopefully this will translate into a victory in November! Voter registration should be taken seriously. Obama opposes voter ID laws, he believes they disenfranchise voters. The ACRON group also opposes voter ID laws and other efforts to ensure ballot integrity. ACRON has been implicated in voter fraud and bogus registration schemes in Ohio and at least 13 other states. ACRON staffers will presumably be out registering voters again this year. Obama supported ACRON group in Chicago, when he was on the Woods Fund for Chicago with Weather Underground terrorist Ayers. ACRON opposes welfare reform, opposes securing boarders to stem flow of illegal immigrants. Obama embraces ACORN'S socialist goals. Check out Obama's web site.

Nothing is more disgusting than seeing groups trying to stop people from voting. It's ok to monitor voting and look for voter fraud, but I hope nothing happens like last time where people were intentionally confused on how to vote.

The lie behind the GOP disingenous effort to hold down voter registration is that virtually all of the prosecutions have been against people hired to gather registrations who inflate their numbers to get paid more. The phony registrations have no people attached to them, so no one actually votes and no elections are effected. It is just a name sitting on a role. If someone shows up to cast a vote with the phony registration then there is voter fraud but that statistically never occurs.

The fraud is done against the employers of these people, not agains the election or the voters. To make it more difficult for real voters to register because of piece-work employees padding their numbers does much more damage to the democratic process than this petty fraud.

Besides, they are paying these attorneys to do stuff so they are "doing stuff" and mark my words, they are going to attempt to disenfranchise millions of voters in several key states where McCain loses.

Of course, "examine" = "suppress" as others here have pointed out. The GOP is running scared because of Obama's superior GOTV effort that has been in place since the primaries, so their only recourse is to try to have votes thrown out. A true 50 state effort is something the Republicans (and the Clinton team) would never consider. 50% + 1 is all they ever set their sights on; yet some recent leaders have been arrogant enough to label that type of squeaker a "mandate".

An electoral blowout will ensure that this election cannot be stolen. I'll bet Rove, Penn, et. al. never considered that.

I believe the democrats effort will fail in Virginia and elsewhere. The democrats have a history of voter fraud, especially in places like Ill, once the electorate starts to really pay attention(after the republican convention)you will find the majority will start to see what an empty suit Obama is. there is a reason Obama can't get above 50% people have serious doubts about him. He just doesn't have enough experience to hold the highest office in the land, the junior senator needs to stay where he is for a while. The new voter rolls need to be watched closely for fraud with the democrats past history.

Every time somebody takes a serious look at the issues of voter fraud, it turns out there's nothing year., yet the GOP persists because it's always been part of their mojo to do anything they can to limit the votes of low income Americans and Americans of color. One reason that Rove and Gonzalez canned a bunch of U.S. attorneys is because they refused to be forced to prosecute voter fraud cases that didn't exist, even though they themselves were Republicans.

The republicans are trying to fix the election, or should I say steal it again.
As Barack Obama tries to draw hundreds of thousands of new voters to the polls, Republicans are beginning to scrutinize registrants’ eligibility as both sides draw a major battle line over voting rights.
Republicans are moving to examine surges in voter registrations in some states. A Republican lawyers group held a national training session on election law over the weekend that included campaign attorneys for Sen. John McCain and other Republican leaders. One session discussed how party operatives can identify and respond to instances of voter fraud.

Republicans said they are particularly worried about prospects for fraud in Virginia and Pennsylvania, and are beginning to comb thousands of new registrations in those states for ineligible applicants. In some cases the huge numbers threaten to swamp their efforts — and those of state and local governments to verify and process applications.
Election officials in Virginia and other states say there is no evidence of widespread fraud so far. Numerous studies have found fraud and other voting irregularities in past elections to be infrequent and generally not prevalent enough to influence the outcomes of most contests. Some Republican lawyers say that despite the huge numbers of new registrations in some areas, this year’s problems could be fewer compared to prior years, because of improved procedures and tougher rules.
Obama campaign general counsel Bob Bauer last Tuesday said in a memorandum to campaign supporters that their own voter legal defense operation is under way, earlier than those of previous Democratic campaigns, including legal counsel on the ground in 50 states. The campaign is working closely with the Democratic Party, which said it has spent three years building a voter-protection program that includes more than 18 paid staff and 7,000 lawyers. The personnel deployed Aug. 1 and are dealing directly with local elections officials.
