It’s been a long time since I’ve heard something that just blew my mind, but it happened this morning. I was getting dressed and listening to National Public Radio, and a BRIEF blurb in the news just changed my world.

To paraphrase – a new GAO report shows that TWO THIRDS of American corporations pay NO INCOME TAXES.

NONE.

I guess the small percentage of companies who pay any taxes at all ARE pretty stressed, huh? Good grief.

Here's my take on L'affaire Clinton: When the Clintons' poor sportsmanship arises, it's one more poignant reminder to us all of what Obama's greatest political accomplishment is: He vanquished the 'vaunted Clinton machine.' One hell of an achievement. To have Bill or Hillary (or their whiny-assed surrogates) complain is one more great reminder (a la Jesse Jackson of late) about why, especially those in the middle, should like Obama more and more.

Now, while being constantly flayed by the Clintons, McCain, and the entire GOP, Obama remains both cool and politically nimble, sticking to the higher road. (Even his 'negative' ads are kinda fun and almost good-natured--remember the sort of over the top music on the 'McCain is a talk show guest' commercial?). People like a winner; McCain is a whiner.

I'm sorry that the failures of the Clinton campaign are being revisted NOW, when unity, not controversy is needed. At what point will the MSM let us turn a page from the primaries?

Now that these memos have come to light, though, it just reminds us all of one of the most dizzying aspects of the primaries--the excuses the Clintons came up with for the loss. The excuses ranged from sexism, to media bias, to the importance of big states over little ones, to the importance of white working-class voters over everyone else, etc. The Edwards excuse is just a new thing to blame in a long list of many others.

It's a miracle for our whole country that Hillary didn't get the nomination. The Atlantic article should be a real eye opener for anyone who thought she had better leadership and management skills than Obama. McCain is just as bad. Okay, one more time: corporations NEVER pay taxes, they COLLECT them. Raise the tax on tee shirts, and the price goes up. Raise them high enough that consumers will not pay them, and the business goes under. It's simple, people, but you have to THINK not FEEL.

The Clintons are the most narcissist human being on earth. I am tired of their psycho drama. For Christ sake this country is bigger than this egotistic family. We don't want any restoration of Clinton, period.

They’ve never admitted mistake and they always apportion fault to others without looking at themselves. I hate them and i can't vote for anybody named Clinton again, even, if it is Chelsea Clinton

The lie behind the GOP disingenous effort to hold down voter registration is that virtually all of the prosecutions have been against people hired to gather registrations who inflate their numbers to get paid more. The phony registrations have no people attached to them, so no one actually votes and no elections are effected. It is just a name sitting on a role. If someone shows up to cast a vote with the phony registration then there is voter fraud but that statistically never occurs.

The fraud is done against the employers of these people, not agains the election or the voters. To make it more difficult for real voters to register because of piece-work employees padding their numbers does much more damage to the democratic process than this petty fraud.

Every sore loser out there should play hockey. In the playoffs they bang, fight, bloody each other, check and fight for every inch on the ice. When it is all over, they line up shake hands, pat each other on the back telling each other great job, way to go, great game and then guess what..IT"S OVER! Period! Political sore-losers should really take note. Any sane DEM needs to board the Obama train and ride it to the White House or we will be in big trouble with Johnny M. Vote the big "O"!

It ws obvious fom the type of campaign that Hillary ran she did not have the ability to manage a campaign; that she allowed others to run the campaign for her; that Bill had too big a part in managing her campaign, or that because everyone was sure she would be the nominee they didn't care whether the camapign was organized or not. All good reasons to say we are thankful she did not become the dem nominee.
