so we keep seeing millions of dollars spent on another campaign, lambasting the american public with negativity, lies, and highlighting red button issues that really don't have simple solutions, yet we are supposed to naively believe that one person's agenda will solve all problems.

does anyone else see a problem with this?

Why in the 21st century are we still utilizing the antiquated bandwagon campaign style that was necessary in the 18th and 19th centuries because of communication issues? technology has solved those, yet we cling to outdated campaign styles because of tradition.

economic recession, huge federal deficits, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that are costing billions per day, high energy costs, families unable to par for groceries because of the rising food prices, and both campaigns are bringing in tens of millions of dollars per month to shove advertising down the throats of the working class?

am i the only one who sees a problem here?
forget campaign reform. its time for a campaign renovation. quit shoving your message down the american people's throat and just tell us where you stand on the issues. from there, we can make our own decisions. at least those of us who don't want to be sheep are able to.

The money spent in campaigns every 4 years could easily do so much more to better this country, instead of drown us with propaganda, negativity, and lies.

Wonder how much Obama raised in July. I'm going to bet around $65 million based on all the fundraisers he did in early July, and that was about the time when many of the Clinton supporters finally came over to support him. Those Clinton bundlers had to have added a good bit in my opinion.

I wonder if Obama has a category for "super mini-bundlers" ... I'm up to almost $300 from others, not counting my own donations.

With people paying attention after the Conventions, I wonder if $100 million is possible in a month. That would be just $50 more per person that already donated.

Good month for McCain -- I guess he needs to find 11,305 more $2300 contributors next month to match this total. Might be a stretch though, but after all there are a couple of million people in the top 1% so getting 11,305 more $2300 contributors might be doable.

So, I think we'll see a blitzkrieg of negative attack ads from the McCain campaign itself through the end of August and then a pull back once he accepts public funding. The attacks will shift to the responsibility of the RNC and 527's. But I think the blitzkrieg of ads from Obama will come beginning in September but the positive, informative tone will continue- his campaign will be able to drown out the opposition's ads in sheer volume.
