The next time I decide to take a trip (after DC in Jan. 2009), I've decided to take my granddaughters to Springfield, Ill. I have read that it's quite a place to visit. You can go to President Lincoln's home, his law office, The Lincoln Museum, his burial site and then take a bus to his log cabin.

I was completely mesmerized by Springfield while I was watching Senator Obama when he first announced his presidential bid last year.

I may try to entice them to go to Independence, Missouri at the same time to visit Harry Truman's hometown, but that might be a stretch. But I'll try. lol!!!

That's good for being president, but not helpful in trying to win a campaign, when the typical Independent and american wants to hear black and white definitive answers. Hillary will give that to him, and be a fighter against McCain, like none of the others can do.

All we need do as Democrats to win in November is to vote for the Nominee of the party and his choice of VP.

If we lose because of "Democrat" cross over votes designed to make 2012 viable for Clinton then we will have all been stabbed in the back by people who should stop calling themselves Democrats. If a Clintonista is what you are then put the welfare of the nation aside and betray away. Then ponder what that will mean to your candidate in 2012.

This is setting up to be a Hillary Clinton SURPRISE pick. She is the native of Illinois and what's more powerful for Obama to pick a native of his home State. After all, Hillary impatience to wait for the Illinois Senate seat is what the gift Obama needed to be a Senator.
Older white women will decide this election and he won't win without picking Hillary. Picking her will be the show of respect they need to get aboard. I hope he realized that much looking at the tightening polls.

After reading the comments to my post from yesterday, I think I have to explain myself. In hindsight my post probably sounded terribly "bitter" to you all. My point was, and is, that in the last 2 presidential election cycles the under-30 crowd was "supposed to" seal the deal for Dems. When election day came, turn-out among this group was dismal. Same goes for the over-all AA vote. There are SOME districts where turn-out among both groups was good but, over-all they have let this Party down- repeatedly. obama seems to be putting all of his eggs in their basket. By contrast, the very groups that have been the core of this Party EVERY election cycle, are fleeing him in droves. He works so hard at welcoming voters at the front door, while so many of us are leaving out the back.
