I sure hope Barack rocks next week in Denver and we get re-energized.

Why do so many Americans believe Barack is not patriotic? I mean really, I bet those who believe this have no idea what patriotism is anyway. Hypocrites and morons rule the day I guess.

Why is everyone saying this election is a referendum on Obama? Isn’t this election a referendum on us?

Do you feel as I do that the Clinton’s will surprise us next week in a very positive way? I honestly believe there are better feelings between Hillary and Barack than people think.

Will the polls be different in the fall after all of the young voters get back into college? Are minorities being under counted right now because it is summer? The sheer number of voters throughout the DEM primaries have not vanished.

Are you happy or sad that Obama is showing signs of attacking, and the ads and rhetoric is getting more acerbic? Sure it is a natural impulse to want to defend ones self, but do we want to lower ourselves to their level?

Why do we always hear that people are tired of negative campaigning, yet we are so dumb and mesmerized to dwell on them like a junkie? All you hear is that people are fed up with the way things are, yet they fall for the same old fear-smear-attack campaigns of the GOP. When will people wake up and realize the GOP & McCain have nothing? Nothing!!! What part of another 4 years of the same old crap don’t you understand America?

Is everyone standing by to receive their text message or email for Obama’s VP announcement? I am.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

55% say they don't identify with Obama's values and background (just 18% of them say that about McCain); and 65% say they are uncomfortable with Obama as president (only 36% believe that about McCain).
******************************************************

Translation: 55% say they don't identify with Obama's skin color; and 65% say they are uncomfortable with a black man as president.

I know, I've got a few of these folks in my family/town. Unbelievable.

http://thepajamapundit.com/

First thoughts: All about Hillary

I don't know, is it possible, just possible, that people in this country would let Senator Obama have his week during the Convention?

Hillary Clinton lost because she had no control over her campaign people. She lost. And the so-called lost opportunity of her being the first woman president is ridiculous. We have had women in high office positions for many years, including the Supreme Court. It's only natural to assume that we would elect a woman some day as our president.

This just wasn't the year, for many many different reasons. And neither sexism nor the media played a role in her defeat.

To pull this kind of **** next week is deplorable. We have an opportunity FINALLY to elect an intelligent, thoughtful individual as our next president. Someone who doesn't want to go around the world acting like some macho maniac, bombing innocent people. Peace. He wants peace. Don't we all?

For goodness sakes, for once stop being so self-centered, immature and selfish. Think about the country and its future. John McCain is no better than GWB.

Try actually paying attention to the polls and then listen to McCain when he speaks. Instead of yourselves. This self-pity stuff from grown adults at this point in the election - please, let it go or just stay home.

Unbelievable.
First thoughts: All about Hillary

Looking at the lineup of the Dem convention, just who exactly won the Democratic nomination? Once again, the Clinton's will whine, pout, support, (but not really) their way into the national spotlight. I am so sick of Bill Clinton and his lack of support for Senator Obama. The only reason I will even listen to his speech is to hear how supportive we can expect him to be. We'll be able to tell, not only by the words, but by the "tone" in which they are spoken. These two (Bill & Hillary) need to go far, far away and let the Party heal and get behind the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, once and for all. I can't imagine Hillary NOT speaking - regardless of who the nominee ended up being. Does anyone really think that, if Edwards, Biden, Richardson, Dodd, or anyone else won that Hillary still wouldn't have a speaking spot?

And the same goes for Bill - he would be speaking regardless of who the nominee was. The only thing Obama did was let them go through with the roll call. But even that will likely backfire on Hillary, because since she dropped out, many delegates just switched over to Obama. Meaning, when they count the votes, she'll get FEWER votes than she had right when she dropped out - it will just make Obama's victory seem that much bigger.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

I have been saying it for the past month. This election is already over and SENILE OLD MCFLIPFLOP "Mush-Head" will win and win huge. Barack Obama had such a great opportunity to become the next president but ever since the primaries, he has run by far the most inept presidential campaign in history. Obama doesn't have a judgement problem he has a "John McCain lies about everything" problem yet Obama refused to fight and lets the lies settle as truths. It is now too late for Obama. This election is OVER and Mush-Head will win. Just remember this when Mush-Head reinstates the draft and starts another war around the world.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

Every single time I see or hear Hillary Clinto, I feel
like a snake has just crawled across my foot.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

You guys just won't let the "Clinton BS" die will you. Has it ever occurred to you SAGEs that if Hillary had got the nomination the number of Obama supporters at the point who would not be backing her would be greater? Espically the way she would have had to win it. At least 70% of the AA vote would be gone. Please explain how she would win? Right now Obama supporters are being generous when asked, what do they have to lose?

Question why didn't your pollster ask what the numbers would be with Obama vs Romney? Think about it?

Chuck I heard you say racism played no part...maybe but I suspect that many of these people would not vote for Obama even if Hillary was on the ticket. BTW 1 point or 100 points come Nov. a win is a win ask GWB in 2000.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

If Obama picks Windbag/Hairplugger/plagiarizer Biden, it is over. The most ridiculous example was when they all downplayed McCain's gaffe about Shia Iran training Sunni Al Qaeda, proving that his "foreign policy expetise" is a thin veneer manufactured by the media to cover McCain's profound ignorance and lack of intellectual curiosiity.

I heard Chuck Todd tell Keith Olbermann that he'd give McCain the "benefit of the doubt" over his apparent agreement with a woman at his townhall meeting that we need to have a new military draft. The media almost always gives this doubtful character the benefit of the doubt while they nitpick everything Obama says.

BTW: McCain LIED when he denied he'd attacked Obama's patriotism, but I did find it interesting that he did drop the smear about how Obama would lose a war to win an election. The fact that McCain is so close in the polls tells me that we are a nation of idiots. This man wouldn't do everything in his power to prevent further war, he is already rattling sabres at Iran and Russia. Our military is overstretched and underfunded. He would have to reinstate the draft to send troops into any additional conflict that may arise. He's basically already indicated that to be factual based on his townhall meeting yesterday. As a woman I have never seen him support any legislation that is in MY best ineterst and his 26 years in Washington haven't shown me that his interests extend beyond his own political ambitions. Is Obama a risk? Sure...but I can't see how he could possibly be worse than what we've had for the last 8 years or worse than McCain continuing down the same road we've been on. I'd rather take a chance that he actually WILL put my interests ahead of Corporations and will start focusing on fixing things here at home instead of doing for everyone else's country first. If Clinton doesn't start keeping her promise to do everything in her power to see him elected she can kiss her Senate position here in NY good-bye.

First thoughts: All about Hillary

Hmm, no mention of McCain agreeing with a woman at his town hall meeting yesterday that instituting the draft is the only way to keep our military ready...

First thoughts: All about Hillary

Gayla E.
