Here's an interesting fact for you: my state, (NJ) went for Hillary in the primaries. To date, our delegates have NOT been given an assigned space; the thought is, our delegation will be seated on an upper tier. It would be interesting to know WHERE the other delegations from 'Hillary' states will be seated. The amount of disrespect shown to Mrs. Clinton is appalling, (from the 3 a.m. text message, to not even considering her for the veep spot); the amount of disrespect shown to the delegates and voters is just another glaring example of how petty and childish Obama and his supporters are. This man isn't qualified to be President of anything but his fan club.

I did'nt get a text. The e-mail came at 10:30 in the morning.
On Friday I tried to link to my fav contacts list from Obama's site, after making a contribution, without success. I tried several times. I wondered if his site had been hijacked again. Perhaps a virus was employed as a way to embarass his campaign with the breakdown of his text message.

Certainly Obama must attract voters other than the black ones that support him overwhelmingly, so it will be interesting to watch whether the campaign can grow the numbers of folks outside his demographic in these southern states with sizeable black populations. Is it possible that some whites feel uncomfortable being in the minority at events like this?

Southeners are laid back. It doesn't mean he doesn't have support among them, and it doesn't mean they are afraid of catching something, (like cooties, or a fist in the mouth), either.

Southeners are the most hospitable Americans in this country. It's very important to them. I hope they were touched by the kind hospitality Biden showed the media staked out on his lawn.

It like this... I love the Dem issues and what the party wants to do....... but after Obama was exposed as lieing to the Hillary supporters and Hillary. I can't vote for him now. If he did that to them what has he got planned for the party. No, he's has shown me a side I do not like. I have supported him from day one and now I am crushed by what he did. Do believe that Hillary was our only hope to win !

Thanks for the compliment. Brains only work when you use them; sadly, Obama supporters 'feel'. When confronted with facts, their heads explode because their brains are under-used. Read a newspaper, (the Michelle Obama story was in the Washington Post); the Rezko story you can find on line; likewise the story of Obama's brother. Caroline Kennedy is the head of Obama's veep vetting team; Teddy (and Kerry) endorsed Obama right after Hillary won the delegates in the Massachusetts primary. You can learn about this if you want to, but too many of you want to close your eyes and sing 'lalala' so you don't hear anything negative about your candidate. Obama has succeeded by being'Zelig'-each person sees what he or she wants to see in him. That is why he had such a poor showing in Saddleback-he was trying to answer the questions while saying nothing.

This post IS an encyclopedia; I normally try to keep them short and to the point. Unfortunately, for some people, facts are TMI.

A post about media whining along the lines of the GOP's "900 days" theme… Huh. Should you guys be surprised? Is how the campaign interacts with the press corps news in of itself? Sounds like typical pre-convention message control to me.

What should you expect Obama's rallies to be populated with? Unenthusiastic mcCain supporters? No. They're populating the presumptive GOP nominee's rallies.

A "woe is me poor press corps" post? My comment sadly for a big fan of MSNBC is this and the corresponding piece below it from the McCain camp are not worth of the high journalistic standards of MSNBC. A fair look at the posts also show them to be unbalanced in favor of Mr. McCain. The McCain comments were taken "from McCain aids" yet NOTHING short of full blown press conference from Mr. Obama who in fairness was on vacation for 1/2 of that "oh so horrid" 17 days would allow anything other than a snarky comment about the racial makeup of a campaign rally. I don't think Mr. Russert would be proud of this day.

Why would he want to speak to the press if you talk about him 75% of the time and 70% of what you say is negative?

I mean seriously, what white candidate has the race of his audience surveyed at every single event and get criticized for it when it's too Black? John McCain has voted with Bush 95% of the time last year, wears $520 shoes, cheated on his wife, and can't remember how many houses he own. Yet he gets the benefit of the doubt on every issues.

But Obama is made out to be the uppity elitist by the media. Go figure.

It is not surprising that the Obama campaign is being disciplined about staying on message, given that the news media pounces on every word, and McCain's campaign immediately shoves out another disingenuous and outright slanderous ad whenever anyone opens their mouth. A case in point is this article - are you not aware how negatively phrased it is in regard to Obama's not making himself available to you on your schedule or at your demand? Why should he when he knows you will slant it against him? A goodly part of that 17 days occurred while he was on vacation. Do you begrudge him some time off during this long campaign season? Since he got back from vacation, he was focused on preparing to announce his running mate and preparing for the convention. Why should he be expected to be at your beck and call when he has so many important issues to address this week? And where is your balanced response to the fact that McCain isn't making himself available to the press all that often either?
