With Hillary Clinton giving tonight’s primetime speech, today’s coverage is dominated by Clinton-Obama rift stories. The Los Angeles Times: "The big question of the presidential election, says L. He made a great point.

Imus flatly accused Hillary Clinton of not wanting Obama to win. Begala came right and pointed out she'll do whatever she can to get him elected because she recognizes her future in the party is tied to an Obama win.

The simple reason is Clinton understands she'll be blamed by half the party if Obama doesn't win.

Imus didn't buy the argument, but I did. I like when we hear rationales for political motivations that dovetail with analysis of self-interest, because those are the arguments we can believe, whether coming from a cynical perspective or not.

Begala basically said that Clinton cares more about the issues than having an opportunity to run in four years, and for those reasons wanted Obama to win. But, he argued, regardless of whether you believe that about Clinton, even if she didn't want Obama to win, she needs Obama to win for her own self-interest.

I also enjoyed the fact that Imus and Begala couldn't agree on anything this morning, but retained a civility that stems from their friendship and respect for one another. But that's another story.

Dem convo, Day 2: Are the Clintons ready?

The Clintons will do fine at the convention. Over the past 8 years we've gone absolutely nowhere. And it's easy to throw blame around, but when you strip in down to what's really been going on in our great nation, you quickly realize that "We The People" are the cause of this. We are stagnant because of us. WE DID THIS!!! We are a democracy... We vote people in... We're responsible for the predicament of this country because we choose to pick out of fear rather than for the best interest of our Country. We are slowly becoming a nation of nothing. Where we were once strong, we are now laughed at and frowned upon... And we take it lying down, accepting things at face value simply because someone says so... All that was sacrificed for the greater good of our futures are proving to have been in vain...

I looked at how some folks said that Obama lost Rick Warren's forum conversation because he was too thorough, expressive, detailed, and intelligent... WOW!!! What have we come to where we expect anything less??? The integrity and intelligence of this Country has been seriously insulted... We choose to become a failing and falling nation all for the sake of stubbornness and ignorance... It's like there's a dying breed of courage in America.

"We The People" choose our paths... We decide the direction of our Country, and we now stand at a folk in the road... We decide what our tomorrows hold.

The bottom line is, we're either going to wake up November 5th with Barack Obama as our President, willing, and able to lead us back down the path of greatness, or We're going to wake up with John McCain as our President, bringing the same failed policies of the past 8 years... Do realize though, that we are the ones who decide this... If y'all can live with that, then we'll all have no choice but to...

It's rather interesting actually to see how on the surface so much has changed over the last 200+ years, yet deeply rooted remains the same ignorant, prejudiced, tainted mindset of so many in this Country... {Just calling a spade a spade}

WOULD WE REALLY RATHER HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF GOING BACKWARDS, AS OPPOSE TO BEGINNING TO REALIZE THE TRUE GREATNESS OF OUR COUNTRY???

Obama/ Biden 2012...
WITHOUT A DOUBT, BABY!!!
Dem convo, Day 2: Are the Clintons ready?

The drama between Clinton and Obama is overblown.

Clinton herself came out saying that she does not support McCain, and doesn't approve him using her comments on his ads.

Clinton would make a better supreme court justice than president in my opinion, and i can see her nominated to the bench by an Obama presidency. That is where she can best help to shape america, and i think she realizes it.

can't wait to hear her speak tonight!

Dem convo, Day 2: Are the Clintons ready?

The Clintons are always ready.
