It does a GREAT disservice to the legacy of the Clintons to see supporters behave this way. I'm just appalled at how foolish they are making the Clintons look. Bill and Hillary Clinton are party loyalist. They will support the candidate with their whole being. But women who would behave like these women say to me "Your daughter's right to make decisions about her own body doesn't matter because I didn't get my way and Hillary is not the nominee." They say to me "The life of your son who will need to be drafted into the next McCain war means NOTHING to me because I didn't get my way!" "Your mother's medicare benefits mean NOTHING to me because I didn't get my way!" "Your ability to keep your house means NOTHING to me because I didn't get my way!" "Communities affected by job losses mean NOTHING to me because Hillary is not our nominee!" Its shameful. These Clinton supporters should hang their heads in shame for this kind childish of behavior because its a shameful reflection upon the legacy of Bill and Hillary Clinton within Democratic Politics.

BTW-How great was it to see Chris Matthews go toe to toe with one of these republicans posing as a Hillary Democrat yesterday!!! Too bad they can't stand a civil discourse on the policies and issues and have to resort to crap like that.
The PUMA and the pragmatist

All of you Hillary supporters who want to vote for John McCain need to check out this posting...
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/26/0566/05306/361/575271

For all of you PUMA's this posting should make you want to run, not walk, but run to support Barack Obama. John McCain and the republicans will use you the way they use anyone that they can to get elected and then do for themselves and their friends leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves. If you are thinking of voting for John McCain please check out what he stands for and against and if after all of that you think his plan for our country is better then Barack Obama then vote for him but becare what you vote for.

The PUMA and the pragmatist

has anyone thought that maybe the pumas are limbaugh's operation chaos people. Nothing. What is Paul Bagala and James Carville's problem?

Hint: Last night, Chuck Todd alluded to these folks who went along for the ride the Clintons took them on in the 1990's right through this spring. Now they are all here in Denver, pouting about not getting invited to the best parties & things of that nature.

Jealousy. Loss of clout. Loss of power.

They have treated Senator Obama terribly. These are not the democrats I remember from the 1990's. Or perhaps they are. I just never noticed.

As Chuck also said, Terry McAuliffe, Mark Penn & Wolfson gave false impressions that Senator Clinton still had a chance to be the nominee, when all the numbers proved otherwise. How is this Senator Obama's fault?

There was no sexism.

What is evident to most of us is a really unprofessional campaign staff working for Senator Clinton this past year.

And Iowa. That was a straight down the middle anti-war vote back in January. Senator Clinton was out almost from the get-go. She would have lost NH if she had't garnered the sympathy vote. Unless the polls were wrong.

I'm tired of the **** kissing Senator Obama is supposed to extend to Bill Clinton. Obama is fighting for his life to get elected. Grow up people.

Immaturity is hard to handle when you're surrounded by them. Stupidity is much easier. At least they try to listen. Immature people could care less. It's all about them and their feelings of being slapped in the face. It never ever ends.

I wouldn't have wanted any of these people connected to my Administration either. They should make it clear that if you supported her candidacy then there is NO way you could be for her and vote for McCain.

As much has been said that the Obama campaign has been given a ‘free pass’ one could argue that the Clintons have been also. The fact remains that the time for internal bickering has long passed.

Much has been said in these blogs about the baseless attacks the Republicans have been launching against Obama, if fact thanks to the heated primary the Clintons provided sound bites for the recent ads. Now the sound bites should be to turn the page on this reckless Presidency and get a Democrat into the highest office of our great country.

If the Clintons are sincerely interested in seeing the Democratic Party affect the social changes that many are hungering for it will be incumbent upon them to unequivocally stand behind and support the Obama/Biden ticket. She may yet get a star place in the new administration and she will further build upon HER OWN resume.

Hillary and Bill need to accept the reality that this is someone else’s moment, rather than misuse this opportunity to stir the caldron of discontent, they should embrace the historic and momentous occasion. History is being written and this election is not unlike the birth of our country, there are portraits of the founding fathers and they (The Clintons) should want to be viewed as participants in a turning point of American history.

The flipside to that would be that should the Republicans retain the Whitehouse the Clinton’s conduct and campaign will be the fodder for analysis until the next election which will surely be like watching Rocky VII, we know the story line and he’s too old and who cares.
The PUMA and the pragmatist

It's simple these PUMA's were borderline Hillary supporters( or heaven forbide Republicans). This is an attempt to make an issue that is not one. NEWSFLASH!!! Hillary LOST. The individuals she had running her campaign LOST. She knew she was going to lose a long time ago, but instead of conceding, she led her supporters to believe that she would. And now everyone wants blame Barack for Hillary's LOSS. The primaries are one thing. That has been completed. Now we are entering into the general election and it is time for folks to FALL IN LINE. Stand up/behind for your party and stop acting like BABIES. Although I did not vote for Hillary (I was actually hoping Edwards was still in the running), but if she had won the majority of the delegates (she didnt) and won against Barack (she didnt) I would be supporting her just like I am supporting Obama. Besides, I would like to see Hillary on the supreme court. Barack has other things planned for her. She will be on his team, just not the way that you wanted her to be.

Obama/Biden

The PUMA and the pragmatist
Agreed, the Clintons run the real risk here.
If they come off even vaguely petulant, their legacy is over now.

The Obama folks, I can assure you, already knew how to win without the Clintons before they asked them to speak.

Sure, Obama is a swell fellow, charitable to losers and all, but he knew exactly what he was doing.

The surprise ahead in this campaign may well be just how much and to what degree he knows what he is doing.

The PUMA and the pragmatist

Donna, Lincroft: There are economists with all sorts of points of view. McConnell's Econ 101 textbook is not the only one. Taxes pay for services the government provides. No taxes, no services.Things like the Food and Drug Administration, highways, bridges, levees and dams; things like the armed forces, customs and border agents... Ed, New Mexico

It is this type of blind loyalty and zeal that Hillary and Bill Clinton need to address promptly and succinctly in their respective speeches.

I find these so-called Clinton supporters who refuse to accept that she did, in fact, lose the election as phony supporters.

Wasn't it Rush Limbaugh who suggested Republicans vote for Clinton because they had lots of ammo against her and felt they could beat her? It sounds an awful lot like that group, Republicans pretending to be Clinton supporters in order to do whatever damage they can.

Same old Repub dirty tricks 101. Because face it, Obama is going to bring a whole lot of new people into the process and that means no more scarfing at the public troughs for these guys. Limbaugh's $43M salary might be cut to a paltry $10M. Big oil, hey, how are they doing after 8 years having an oil man as president? Billions in profits while drivers get $5 gallon gas. Get the picture? John McCain is beloved by the military industrial complex, for good reason. Like Groundhog Day, a McCain presidency would repeat the current economic disasters. In fact, one of his advisers helped remove the mortgage industry rules so they could reap the rewards while homeowners and taxpayers paid.

Those people yelling out against Obama were never Clinton supporters except as they felt McCain could beat her. That's who they were going to vote for all along.

The PUMA and the pragmatist

J.
