There is so much wrong with McCain's choice that I do not know where to start. To begin with, don't insult my intelligence by assuming she will get the female vote just because she's a woman. That will only turn away votes. All the women in my office agree. She will automatically lose some women votes because they will ask why a mother of 5 is not home taking care of her children especially a newborn. All for women with a career (I have one) but she will lose votes on this. What experience does she have? Mayor of a city less than 8,000??? Sarah Palin is an admirable figure, but even she cannot rescue the politics of the past from the dead weight of the republican failure of the last 8 years.
And if experience is so key, why is she a heartbeat from the presidency with only 2 years of state level service under her belt??? The ticket reminds me of beauty and the beast, and unfortunately both the beauty and the brains are at the bottom of the ticket, and they cannot save McCain from the hypocracy his candidacy has become.
Just for example. Sarah Palin touted John's "support for the troops"-- What about the GI bill, or does McCain's support end after the troops have outlived their usefulness. I know it is harsh to say something like this about a vet, but look at his voting record, the hypocracy is plain. As has been said, I don't think it is that he doesn't care, he just doesn't understand. He lives in a world of private jets and mansions. According to him everything is OK, except there are too many people "whining". ENOUGH!!!!

Why is the media trying to sell us Palin? She can not ride in and claim all women. It is insulting to women. We do not vote mearly on gender. We vote on issues. She is way to the right and in no way even remotely comes close to any issue that Clinton stood for in this election campaign. It show how little McCain thinks of women and understands women.

This also takes the exerience question off of the table. There are real concerns about whether John McCain will live through his first term due to his age. So, who in their right mind would hand the president position to Palin when not one set of experiences prepares her for the highest office in the land.
