I honestly believe John McCain does not have as rational bone in his body..except when this twinkle of what appears to be like Bob Dole coming out of his persona...
I like Bob Dole and he would have been an outstanding President.
But John McCain possess to little of Bob Dole to make a real difference in my vote...
He's to open ended and to phony ...
I sense there some hidden agenda that looms in he back that he has a difficult time dealing with...
We don't need a President that has a hard time finding his core but sure knows how your going to get yours...

Every person who is considering voting in November MUST watch this video. It shows three things:

1. Karl Rove criticized the fact that Virginia Governor Tim Kaine was a possible VP pick for Obama. He said that because he used to be the Mayor of Richmond which has a small population (about 200,000) in comparison to others in the US, and also that he'd only been governor for 3 years (population 7 million), he claimed that this did not constitute sufficient executive experience and would just be a "political pick" rather than concern of the person's capability to be present of the U.S. It then shows him complimenting Sarah Palin's executive experience as Mayor of Wasila (population 9,000) and then as Governor of Alaska (population about 700,000) for 2 years.

2. It shows Fox News host Bill O'Reilly arguing that the pregnancy of Bristol Palin is a personal family issue and they should not be bothered. Then it shows another video of him blaming Jaime Lynn Spears' parents for her teenage pregnancy.

3. It shows a video of Dick Morris criticizing people for the supposed sexism against Sarah Palin. It then shows a video of him saying that when Hillary Clinton comes under fire she hides behind the sexism defense and can't handle the big boys. It also shows a video of Sarah Palin back in March saying that women shouldn't whine when there's excess criticism or a sharper microscope put on them but rather work harder and prove themselves. It also shows McCain Senior Policy Advisor Nancy Pfotenhauer criticizing Hillary Clinton for playing the gender and victimization card and complaining of sexism, then saying that Sarah Palin is a victim of sexism.

Wasn't it George Bush's father who encouraged Americans to be "1000 points of light" in their communities through volunteerism? He had it right. The most effective way to implement change is from the grassroots up - not by being beaten down with change not necessarily of our own making from Washington.

Is this really the message that Sarah Palin and Rudy Guiliani want to send to the American people? That community work, volunteering, and bringing people together as a force for making one small change at a time is something to be sneered at? What would Mayor Guiliani have done in New York after 9/11 without the help of community organizers and volunteers?

I thought this was the essence of Republicanism - taking charge of your future and your community's future, giving of yourself to a cause greater than yourself.

This is what Barack Obama did as a community organizer. He was and is a public SERVANT. It is a high calling no matter what your politics - why would anyone denigrate it?

Let's get back to the blatant disrespect that the RNC showed towards community organizers. As a youth, I was the beneficiary of the work of community organizers. Seeing and hearing the mocking tone at the RNC went a long way to making me feel like my town, my community was unimportant. Community organizers provided me with educational programs during my summer months away from school, exposed me to the arts, to my town and greater AA history, encouraged me to pursue my education, provided aid for my family when both my parents were laid off, I could go on and on. Their work helped to reinforce all the things my parents taught me home. My parents gave me the foundation and my community gave me the opportunity to put those lessons in practice.

Barack, I saw the first excerpts of your interview on the O'Reilly factor. Glad to see you stepping into the lion's den again. Was O'Reilly combatitive? Of course, but its good to see that you are willing to take some heat and be challenged.

I remain horrified at Ms. Palin's snippy, nasty, irrelevant, and inappropriate swipe at community organizers. But it had one silver lining.

If you have been, are now, or have had someone close to you positively impacted by, a community organizer, then stand up and be counted. This is your time to shine. There are a lot of us out there (apparently, non-GOP types) who truly support what you do.

I was FURIOUS with Chris Matthews yesterday for bashing community organizers on CSPAN, I don't think Mr. Matthews understands that Community Organizers work for charities, churches, and many other areas, helping the less fortunate. What the hell is wrong with that? Obviously the Republicans don't respect that but I expected more from an educated Catholic boy from PA. His disrespect showed his true colors as a weasel! here in chicago, the community organizers really started poping up during the reagan years!! in late 1980, the reason is that the steel mills closed after reagan gave all those tax cuts to the big business,and the jobs were goan with in a matter of months, including there pensions!!! rosland, morgan park, and pullman neighborhoods were hurting big time!!! so mrs palin, the next time you want to talk carp about community organizers shut the hell up because it was one of your own who caused that movement to really take off!!!
they helped older workers get new training, they helped neighborhoods stay afloat with donations for food banks, healthcare for teens, consulated teens about abstance and well as birth control, and believe this sarha, they even helped teens with the decision to either give the child up for adoption was well as keeping the child or as a LAST resort, have an abortion. so as your up in alaska, there are real problems here in the lower 48 that you have no idea whats going on.
