No disrespect to McCain but, while we appreciate his service to his country, there is something VERY wrong with the fact that John McCain has spent more time talking about what HE went through 40 years ago than what the American people are going through right now (and for the last 8 years)!!!

McCain admitted in his book that his first presidential run was NOT about helping the American people, but was simply about trying to grab the power of the office. So WHY hasn't ANYONE in the media asked the McCain campaign why voters should believe that McCain cares about them now? Everything he has done in this campaign has been politically motivated, right up to his VP pick, yet everyone just buys his "country first" bullshit without calling him out on the FACT that the last time he ran he was clearly NOT about "country first".

And can someone PLEASE tell John McCain that there is no "R" in "Washington". What an idiot.

I think its funny that (Levi), Sarah Palins -daugters Boy Friend was at the convention. Did any one else read all The Crazy stuff he said on his My Space Page? I also saw and heard Bob Dole (clearly suffering from a senior moment on TV) basically "thank" her for having her husband show up at a Republican fundraiser. Andrea, taken off guard, didn't really know how to answer. It's OBVIOUS that Andrea Mitchell is a Republican operative and chronically biased against Democrats.

McCain has served his country with honor and distinction, but that does not qualify him for president. his selection of the same advisors who torpedoed his campaign in 2000 shows questionable judgement, and his entire convention did not lay out one platform in detail. it was 3 days of badmouthing the other guy, with some rabble rousing and a VP pick that was politicaly motivated and not putting the country first. Epic Fail!

Wake up America another evening of info and hype on what McCain has did 35 to 40 years ago, yes he was a pow he was beaten but not broken mentally he was and will always be a hero but heros dont brag and have to remind everyone what they did.

The republican party should be ashamed of agreeing and allowing this to be the main focus of their convention. In the 20 something years McCain has been in the senate he has run for president for almost half the time he has been in office.

And as for Cindy the dream of living in the White house thay her and her parents have wanted for her is fading. She has did everything she could do from making sure she was in the medias eyes and being part of every well to do`s charity to adopting a child from the right orphanage so every time the McCain family and the convention mentions it they can say Mother Theresa in the same breath with Cindy McCain.

My efforts to give both parties an equal look have made me very disappointed with both parties along with asking America is the the 2 best choices we have for this office

I am amazed that there has been zero discussion here about the revealing nature of Gov Palin's outfit when she appeared at the end of Sen McCain's acceptance speech.
Am I the only that noticed (or at least I thought) that after her acceptance speech, that she seemed 'stand-offish' toward hugging him?
Did it look like maybe after last Friday he seemed to be intent on hugging her a little too close.
And it seems the embraces from his wife are impersonal, he never takes her hand, and leaves her behind home when walking.
Or am I crazy?

Those people were out of control for several minutes and could have caused harm to the delegates or to the candidates in the time they were free to act. Change is good but not if we elect the congress and the president from the same party. Clinton was able to govern because he had a republican congress and was forced to move from the far left to the center. Remember the first 2 yrs of Clinton, with a democratic, was a disaster. G. Bush had a republican congress and got everything he and the republicans wanted because there was no balance of power. Reagan and the lst Bush had to work most of the time with a democratic congress. The constitution was framed so there would be a balance of power, but with two of the three branchs (legislative & executive) controlled by one party the check and balance is gone.
