This is a situation that could place her in the position as commander in chief of the United States Of America. During the primaries the media asked if America was ready for a woman president. Well after poking, prodding and raking Hillary over the coals for months and months the answer was by the millions yes. Like all the candidates she ran the gauntlet, faced the public and the press and by the end of the primaries we knew most everything about all of them.
We know very little about Sarah Palin.
How can this even be considered!
As I understand it Charley Gibson was GRANTED an interview with strict guidelines… A Barbra Walters like interview. Then she tried to get Gibson to let her off the hook by asking Gibson what he meant by his question. This isn't unexpected in an inexperienced candidate, if 20% of the population at large could answer that question I would be surprised.
When she was quick to volunteer we might have to go to war with Russia-that was disconcerting, to be sure. But here is the bottom line-we no longer expect our presidents to be exceptional. It's much more important that they be of the people-I guess it's better for our fragile egos-not better for the country-but better for our egos.
Personally-I would like my president to be so intellectually gifted and challenging that the Curtis LeMays and Dick Cheneys of their administration would be demanded to make their cases before carpet bombing Cuba or invading Iraq, instead of being so out of their depth that they have no choice but to defer to someone with more of a clue.
Those days appear LONG gone. Seeing as how she did graduate college with a degree in Journalism, she often looked stunned at the line of relatively easy questions. she seemed so over prepared that her answers almost came before the questions. We all know politicians prepare for certain questions that they will face, but something as easy as; Do you agree with the Bush Doctrine? Yes/NO and here is why. She flubbed that one and that is one tiny reason she is not ready for anything but a politically corrupt state like Alaska. We should spread democracy throughout the world Mrs. Palin? Perhaps we should take a better look at how democratic our country really is. If this country is to be the Leader of all countries then perhaps we should stop stomping our Democratic "Jackboots " down other's throats. Seven years ago 19 men plunged their hatred deep into our souls and we have to show for it is a couple of pictures of dead Muslims (most of which were just going about there daily routine, which did not involve shopping at K-mart) and numerous body bags. We lost this "War" before we even entered it. Just like Washington to put icing on an empty cardboard box. Corruption is easiest when you don't have to face the people that you're stepping on. I could go on and on but unless the people wearing the Palin blinders are listening, this is falling on deaf ears.

Palin: The reviews are in

Should have asked her "How can one obtain an Alaskan Fishing License?"
she flubbed it last night...what a let down.

Palin: The reviews are in

Is anyone surprised?

I know HRC. HRC is a friend of mine (not really). Governor, you are no HRC.

Seriously, we have families suffering from
A. young men and women in harms way,
B. families struggling to pay for everything from healthcare to gas to groceries,
C. breadwinners concerned for how long they will keep the job they actually have
C. banks and businesses failing, and on and on

...and all the republicans want to talk about is how to protect the advantageous tax scheme for themselves and more of the current administration's GO ALONE type of bluster. ENOUGH! Cant wait for Biden-Palin debate.

Palin: The reviews are in

One can not wash the spots off a leopard. Palin is definitely giving the tired GOP Poeple Magazine cover opps and so on. But, give it a month or so, and hopefully we can all look past the pretty facade. There are some basic facts gone awry, 9-11 has no Iraq connection, We can't afford another war with Russia, hawks are ugly. This woman thinks she will be alive when Jesus returns, and he is going to be #issed off. This part scares me the most, as self fulfilling prophecy can be so powerful. This woman thinks there is going to be an Epic War in Israel (armageddon) during her lifetime. Scary stuff, if one has read Revalations. I'm thinking anyone with half a brain will not have their vote swayed with lipstick, whatever it's smeared on. Oh let's not forget McCain, let's be thinking about him, his hawk spots run deep.

Palin: The reviews are in

Do you think she is ready to lead this country in any capacity? After seeing the interview, NO! I really like John McCain but I think this was a bad choice.

Palin: The reviews are in

I think she's a pretty lady but as they say looks aren't everything especially not running for vp!! now I see why mac was shielding her from the press and for the record i do not think she has been treated unfair. hey the american people what to know who she is and where she stands on certain issues.

Palin: The reviews are in

If this novice finds her way into foreign affairs, we are in grave danger. I can invision the beginning of WWIII

Palin: The reviews are in

Last night I felt sorry for Palin. It was created by the MSM and 98% of americans had probably never heard of it either. Most people on this board are so blinded by their hatred for Bush that they have been willing to fall in line like millions of lemmings behind a man that has never done anything to resemble change or reform. BO even admitted that being a community organizer was not getting anything done. Additionally, while pointing out that we would be nuts to vote for someone who only voted against Bush 10% of the time, he voted along party lines 97% of the time. so we'd be inclined to be more nuts to vote for someone that reached across the aisle or went against the grain 3% of the time.
