While the bail out is necessary, let's think where the money is coming from: US Treasury notes and who is buying these notes? The Middle East and China are the two largest buyers. So the 150 billion dollars in notes issued over the past 5 days put us ever deeper in debt to others. Of course that affects how we interact on oil in the Middle East, and the stands we take toward China. In addition both of these nations are largely financing the US wars through the Treasury borrowings.

If we follow McCain's social security privitization we will see the same need for a bail out in future years, thus creating a need for further borrowing from the Middle East and China. Perhaps we should consider a loan independence strategy as well as an oil independent stratey.

McCain: Playing the patriotism card

John McCain-Still livin' in the box.
In John McCains world lying is patriotic, in Sarah Palins world subpoenas mean nothing, In Georgies world lying about everything is protecting our country from terrorists.
Lets see how Texans enjoy FEMAS help.
I Hope Jerry from Corpus Christi is doing OK, havn't heard from him for a long time.
Even though we disagree on everything Jerry I will pray for you and hope you are OK.

McCain: Playing the patriotism card

Wait a minute! Did you say Obama refused to support our troops? I think you're confused John. Who has continually voted to reduce funding to the VA? Who said that the new GI benefits package would be too good, that it might cause soldiers not to re-enlist? Who voted against funding for TBI and PTSD injuries? That would be Senator McCain.
I'm a veteran. I believe supporting our troops means supporting our TROOPS, not supporting the war. I'm voting for Obama

McCain: Playing the patriotism card

Here is the most common statement from the McCain campaign:

"What he MEANT to say was ..."

It's very handy. If conservatives think that the war in Iraq and Afganistan are such a grand idea, they should agree to be taxed to pay for those efforts. What is happening now- keeping those expenditures off the books, borrowing from the Chinese to pay the 10 billion monthly charge, and sticking my 10 year old daughter with the bill is nothing short of corrupt. How about it conservatives- willing to pay for the war you cheerlead for?
