McCain did say that he favored abolishing the Department of Education, but it is misleading to point that out, because he didn't propose it as a "legislative initiative"?

There's a difference between being "square" and flat out lying. I've never been inundated with so many lies from politicians than what I've seen coming from Republicans. Don't give in to the McCain campaign's crap -

Cherrypicking one's record is one thing - but saying Obama wants sex ed for kindergartners and he called Palin a pig is in a different universe. Not to mention they lie about the bridge to nowhere and that Obama will raise everyones taxes on a daily basis -

It is your responsibility to this nation to make this distinction forcefully and clearly. Don't fall in to the weak and grossly inaccurate trap of "both sides do it".

The Republicans are shameless Liars, and Obama has, and will continue to beat the crap out of McCain until the election as he should. But he has not and will not stoop to the same level.

And for you donkeys that say Obama has had more negative ads since the converntions - that study does NOT address lying in the ads. Everyone has widely reported and accurately so that McCain is running a sleazy smear campaign. Again - a totally different universe that needs to be made clear to the electorate.

Stretching the facts, putting a spin on the message, etc., are to be expected however much we would prefer this not occur. We all have our biases. But the Republicans engage in pure invention. There is no "spin" on saying Palin didn't ask for earmarks as governor for Alaska, for example -- this is simply a lie.
