What's that? Oh, yeah, it's the thing that John McCain hasn't done for 36 days.

Obama is taking a sober look at our financial situation and calling on a bipartisan effort to arrest the slide that we're seeing on Wall Street. He wisely differentiated between the short term steps that the CURRENT ADMINISTRATION must take to stabilize the financial system and what he, or McCain, can do next year to lead us forward.

McCain's long time championing of deregulation helped to get us into this mess:

http://torqopia.blogspot.com/2008/09/mccains-flip-flops-on-regulation.html

We need intelligent, thoughtful leadership to get us out of it. I can't afford to have John McCain in the White House. I'm transitioning between careers, living on savings while I'm in school and trying to get into the healthcare field, and I need a break from the policies of the last eight years.

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Well - George Bush and Dick Cheney really screwed the country's finances.

Where is Dick Cheney? - Is he out hunting, fishing – or chilling in his log cabin in the hills of Colorado?

They planned this mess from the get go and it got out of hand....now we tax payers not only help make the "have mores" even wealthier – but we have to help bail them out - because of their greed.

Barack Obama - will not be able to correct this mess in two terms - but he is certainly more qualified than John McCain to get us in the right direction to recovery.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

See...now THIS is how you handle a crisis situation.

McCain, on the other hand, is still running around like a dog, chasing his own tail.

He doesn't know whether he's coming or going.
Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

And McCain's solution was to fire the FEC...errr, SEC head. Unbelievable!!!! Thanks President Bush.
Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Clearly the better choice. Come on America, look at the two presentations today, what a stark difference. No one can look me and my grandchildren in the face and say John McCain should be president. Barak Obama stood out, answered the questions intelligently and continues to make me proud to be american.

Vote Obama/Biden NOT Palin/McCain

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

What a watershed moment it will be to have thoughtfulness and intelligence back in the Whitehouse! I still worry that the culture wars of the past will ruin this for the country, but with Obama I do have Hope.

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/19/mccains-economic-policy-k_n_127751.html

Interesting read, considering the new ads Senator McCain has beening putting out over the past couple of days.

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Will obama give back the money he received from fannie mae and freddie mac?
Obama continues to speak out of both side of his mouth.
Our country cannot survive four years of an obama presidency after the last eight years of disaster created by bush.

McCain/Palin2008 Country First

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Mccain needs to go to school and educate himself and not go to war!!

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

It brings tears to my eyes that America IS ready for REAL change. Things finally shifted, but in return, we have a crisis. I think it's worth it though because I have faith in Obama =).

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

After listening to Obama's press conference today, I am absolutely, positively, 100% sure this is the man I want as president. His ability to handle this with the utmost honesty, thoughtfulness, reasures me this is the man who should represent our country!
Obama/Biden 08'

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Intelligence, calmness, well thought out process. He started to go MAD toward the end of his life(reign), surrounding himself with "doctors" who were all terribly concerned with condition of the "royal stool"! The republicans have certainly left the American people with a huge pile of this tale-tell substance to clean up after the "thankful" end of the terroristic reign of King George II, of America.

Lets recap...

King George I, of America, a.k.a. George H. W. Bush (1988-92). A smouldering time in American history, dominated by republican political thuggary and a festering culture of secrecy and corruption at the highest level of Government, coupled with the continuing greed mentality of the 1980's.

Then....after a relatively peaceful and prosperous period from 1992-2000, under the leadership of President Bill Clinton, the U.S Economy was lifted up by broad based economic progress and stability,....<thunder rolls>.....then, a true disaster struck...

The US Supreme Court, dominated by Republican partisans, stopped the democratic process of conducting a recount, and handed the Presidency to a REAL-Live DUNCE;

King George II (a.k.a. George W. Bush; a.k.a. Herbert Hoover II) ascended to the Throne. Under the dubious leadership of one so completely unqualified, America began a long period of economic and social decline that has ended in economic disaster. Our prestiege on the World stage had been almost completely deminished, terrorism is on the rise, and the overall security of the World at large has been threatened. The disasterous REIGN of King George II will easily go down in history as the "worst in the history of the United States". King George II should be under strong consideration for permenant exile to Devil's Island, for High Crimes and Misdemeanors he committed during his "reign of terror".

Now we actually might get something like a King George III, only WORSE -- with John McCain. Too old to make good decisions, and seems to be having some cognitive difficulties lately. A republican win would be a death blow to America as we know it. We can't afford anymore erosion of our civil rights. The republicans have been completely dishonest with the American people, and they have misused our trust. The do not deserve to have another chance at power. Not now, maybe not ever.

Sanity = Obama/Biden 08/12

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

I'm terrified of McCain. Who does he have to advise?
Phil Gramm. What does he want? to fire Chris Cox in the middle of the crisis.

If you liked the Bush recession, you'll love the McCain depression.

Obama: tax cuts, stimulus needed

Yes, leadership we can believe in.
